I received two cases this morning. I'm going to use this to talk about my approach to being a lawyer. Don't get me wrong, I'm going to show off my achievements. Actually, I don't have anything to show off at all.
Comrades who have just started to become lawyers may not know much about the profession of lawyers. It may be that I have watched too many legal dramas, and I always think that lawyers are the group of people who wear suits and leather shoes, drive luxury cars, live in bungalows, wear famous brands, make a lot of money, and make quick money. But when you take up this profession, you will find that it is not like that at all, but like a group of beggars in suits and leather shoes.
What is my image? I'm just a standard old farmer. Wearing a tattered training uniform on his lower body, shirtless and sweaty, the emaciated little old man likes to grab stones in the garbage heap. Who would have imagined that I was a lawyer? I spend less than a third of my month as a lawyer, a third of my time doing farm work, and another third sleeping at home. I spent one-third of my time as a lawyer lying in bed in the law firm and drinking tea. In fact, the time spent doing business is also negligible. My daughter-in-law said I wasn't doing a good job.
If there is a case, do it, and if there is no case, be happy.
I get up at four o'clock every morning, start working on the farm, eat until half past eight, go to work at nine o'clock, drink tea, and lie in bed. That's the basics of my day.
Two cases were received this morning. The agency contract and the transcript of the interview were written, and they came to sign it at two or three o'clock tomorrow afternoon, and they could leave by boat in the evening. Well, I just called, and at about one o'clock in the afternoon, there was another client coming over, and it seemed that the court was going to be held on July 7. I went home at two o'clock for dinner, and I didn't come back in the afternoon, and I made a dozen cement roads leading to the creek at home. Well, there's another case tomorrow morning, and I'll finish it that day. At night, I have to pick up the wind and wash the dust for my brother-in-law and Brother Qian, not only to drink, but also to sing a few songs.
The essence of being a lawyer is to play, to play. Neither take anything seriously, nor do you take it seriously. Between talking and laughing, the light boat has crossed the Ten Thousand Mountains.
