The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Passage was officially opened to traffic! Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area enters the "one-hour traffic circle"

On June 30, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, a world-class cross-sea cluster project integrating "tunnels, islands, bridges and underwater interconnection", was officially opened for trial operation. Since then, the two major urban agglomerations on both sides of the Pearl River Estuary, "Shenzhen-Dongguan-Huizhou" and "Zhuzhongjiang" have ushered in the first direct connection channel, and the "one-hour traffic circle" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has become a reality.

In the afternoon, the smoke and waves on the Lingding Ocean are vast, and the deep passage is like a long dragon lying on the waves, and the magnificent scenery is in full view. Located on Ma'an Island in Zhongshan City, the entrance and exit of Cuihengdong of Shenzhong Passage has long been full of waiting vehicles. "In the past, I could only take the Humen Bridge to cross the river, and traffic jams were commonplace, and after looking forward to it for so many years, I finally didn't have to take a long detour." Li Jian, a citizen of Zhongshan, could not hide his excitement.

The Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor is the core transportation hub project of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, and it is also one of the most difficult cross-sea cluster projects in the world today. For a long time, Shenzhen and Zhongshan, two cities only a few dozen nautical miles apart, had to travel around due to the Pearl River estuary, and the commuting time was more than two hours. As the new "transportation backbone" of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area and the key "horizontal" of the "A"-shaped transportation network framework, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor bears the expectation of promoting better connection and integration between the two sides of the Pearl River Estuary, and has attracted much attention from the conception stage.

The Shenzhong Corridor has a total length of 24 kilometers and a design speed of 100 kilometers per hour. CCCG has fully participated in the design and construction of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, including the construction of key and landmark projects such as the West Artificial Island, the immersed tunnel, the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Bridge, the Zhongshan Bridge, and the non-navigable hole bridge, from the pre-project design consultation and feasibility study to the independent design and manufacturing of special equipment, to the construction of steel cylinder islands, tunnel foundation trench excavation, channel dredging, immersed tube prefabrication and installation, etc.

The Shenzhong Tunnel is the world's first two-way eight-lane steel-shell concrete immersed tunnel, and it is also a control project that determines whether the whole line can be opened to traffic. Although there is already experience in the construction of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, the construction of the immersed tunnel with a total length of 5,035 meters, consisting of 32 sections of 80,000 tons of giant immersed tubes and a final joint is still a new challenge, and the hydrogeological conditions in the sea area are extremely complex, limited by multiple factors such as aviation, water transportation, and environmental protection, and the construction conditions are very strict.

The construction team of CCCG tailor-made the core equipment group of the offshore immersed tunnel represented by the world's first immersed tube transportation and safety integrated ship "Yihang Jin'an 1", the world's largest and most advanced self-elevating platform gravel laying leveling ship "Yihang Jinping 2", etc., and introduced the Beidou satellite navigation system into the construction field of cross-sea channel for the first time, resolved more than 200 major risks, overcame a series of world problems such as ultra-large immersed tube ultra-long-distance floating installation, and set a construction record of installing 9 sections in one year and 7 consecutive immersed tubes with millimeter-level accuracy. Leading the construction of offshore immersed tunnels into the era of intelligence.

In the course of 7 years of construction, CCCG has formed more than 20 world records, such as the world's leading complete set of equipment and technology for the construction of cross-sea channels, created the world's highest navigable clear sea bridge, the world's largest all-offshore steel box girder suspension bridge, the world's highest wind-resistant steel box girder suspension bridge, and the world's largest volume of mid-sea anchorage, obtained more than 170 patents, and achieved 8 major innovations and achievements, including large-diameter steel cylinder rapid island formation and underwater push-out final joint, filling a number of industry gaps. The intelligent construction of cross-sea passages has been realized.

From the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge to the Dalian Bay Undersea Tunnel, and then to the official opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, CCCG has undertaken the construction of all three major offshore immersed tunnels in the mainland. From breaking through the technical blockade from scratch to independently challenging the world's problems, the construction team has overcome a series of core technical difficulties in the construction of offshore immersed tunnels, greatly improved the construction efficiency of offshore immersed tunnels, formed the advantages of the top immersed tube industry chain and the transformation of new quality productivity achievements, contributed mature Chinese solutions in technological iteration and upgrading, established "Chinese standards", and raised the construction of the world's cross-sea channel projects to a new height.

After the opening of the Shenzhen-Zhongshan Corridor, it only takes about 30 minutes to reach the "Shenzhen-Zhongshan City". This landmark project, which marks the mainland's transformation from a big transportation country to a transportation power, has handed over a satisfactory answer to the party and the people on the occasion of the "1 July" approach.
