It is understood that in order to strengthen the protection and development of the germplasm resources of the giant yellow croaker of the South China Sea, the Guangdong Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs arranged special funds for the revitalization of the seed industry to organize and carry out the project of "Evaluation of Germplasm Resources and Cultivation of Improved Varieties of Characteristic Yellow Croaker in the South China Sea", which was implemented by the South China Sea Fisheries Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Fishery Sciences and Guangdong Whale Marine Biotechnology Co., Ltd. located in Huidong Port. This year, the village selected the saline-alkali tolerant rice varieties "Nanguizhan" and "Nanxinyouzhan No. 2" introduced from the Rice Research Institute of the Guangdong Academy of Agricultural Sciences, so that this saline-alkali land has been revitalized. According to reports, Pinghai has abandoned more than 1,500 acres of saline-alkali land. Through the trial planting of seawater rice in Bijia Village, more plans and specific measures will be provided for the remediation of abandoned saline-alkali land in Pinghai in the next step.
