On the morning of July 1, after more than 400 days and nights of overcoming difficulties, the Fatushan Tunnel of the Dahua Railway Special Line, which was constructed by China Railway First Bureau, was successfully completed.

Located in Huanian Town, Eshan County, Yuxi City, Yunnan Province, the Fatushan Tunnel has a total length of 472 meters, and the entrance and exit ends are connected to the roadbed, mainly based on grade IV and V. surrounding rock, with active faults and bad geology in high-intensity seismic areas, and the initial risk of instability and collapse at the tunnel entrance section is high.

The project department strictly implements the relevant standards, convenes relevant experts and construction personnel to conduct on-site research on the mountain and the surrounding environment for many times, holds expert review meetings many times, listens to expert opinions and suggestions, and finally adopts the support form of advanced guide wall + advanced large pipe shed into the hole, and avoids large excavation and large brushes in the construction of the hole to maintain the stability of the side and slope.

The Fatushan Tunnel was officially excavated on May 15, 2023, and the secondary lining construction of the tunnel began on July 25 of the same year. During the construction process, in order to ensure the safety and progress of the construction, the project department carried out real-time monitoring and measurement of the whole tunnel, paid close attention to the changes of surrounding rock and water content, refined the risk analysis and control of the construction method, and reasonably set up the inverted arch closed into a ring section and the safe step distance of the tunnel face, and achieved good results.

The Dahua railway line has a total length of 9.2 kilometers, a design speed of 60 kilometers per hour, a housing construction of 5,558.5 square meters, 7 bridges and 4 tunnels, and bridges and tunnels account for 59%. In addition to making unprecedented historic breakthroughs in tunnel engineering, the company has also made frequent highlights in other railway specialties such as continuous beam construction and bridge pier pouring. On April 16, 2024, the first pouring of Pier 14 of Yukungang Special Bridge, the largest pier of the Dahua Railway Special Line, was completed; On June 1, the longest continuous beam of the main span of the Yuyuan Expressway Bridge was successfully closed, which is also the first continuous beam of the project to complete the closure.
