Taking the Changdao "Zero Carbon Island" Distributed Central Heating Project and the Haiyang Nuclear Power Rushan Long-distance Heating Project (the first cross-prefecture-level city long-distance large temperature difference nuclear energy heating project) as the entry point, the Moon Environment demonstrated the core patented technologies such as distributed energy central heating, water and heat co-production and transmission, one-network multi-source urban comprehensive energy heating, heat network absorption large temperature difference heat exchange, and industrial waste energy utilization.

Located at the confluence of the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea, between the Jiaodong Peninsula and the Liaodong Peninsula, Changdao is one of the three major wind farms in China, with an annual effective wind energy time of up to 2,300 hours. Combined with the advantages of local wind power generation, Dunhambush used low-temperature air source heat pumps to replace the original boiler heating of the island's residents. Long Island has a warm temperate monsoon continental climate, with high air humidity, high requirements for corrosion resistance of the unit, and low temperature in winter.

On November 25, 2023, the first cross-prefecture-level city nuclear energy heating project in mainland China, the third phase of the "Nuanhe No. 1" nuclear energy heating project, was officially put into operation, realizing the cross-regional interconnection and sharing of zero-carbon heat sources and opening a new era of nuclear energy "twin cities" heating supply.

The Moon Environment conducts research on various types of waste heat improvement, covering waste heat recovery from 0-600°C and heat demand from -20°C to 200°C.
