Recently, the plum orchards of Qinghe Group 4 of Xin'an Village, Yunfu Street, Shuifu City ushered in a bumper harvest, and the "May Crisp" plums with purple agate color were adorned with branches, and local fruit farmers were busy picking and selling.
Carrying a basket or bucket on their backs, the fruit farmers of Xin'an Village busily shuttled through the orchard, picking "May Crisp" plums and sending them to the purchase point.
In 2019, villager Chen Zhidong planted more than 600 plum trees on 12 acres, which began to bear fruit in 2022 and entered a bumper yield period this year.

My total land is 12 acres, and the annual income from planting corn is about 7,000 yuan, and the area where I grow plums is also 12 acres, with an annual income of 16,000 yuan (about 16,000 yuan), and it is more cost-effective to grow plums than corn.
At present, Xin'an Village has planted more than 2,000 acres of fruits such as "May Crisp", "Yinhong Plum", kiwifruit, jelly orange, etc., which has become an important industry to help the local people increase their income and get rich. Among them, the planting area of "May crisp" plum and "Yinhong plum" is 1,500 acres, and the output is expected to be 90 tons this year, with an output value of 2.7 million yuan.
