Hello and welcome to this episode!
NATO is addicted, the United States is "brazen", and Finland, an ally of the United States, has also made unbelievable remarks against China.
First of all, Finnish President Stubb claimed that the Chinese side could end the Ukrainian crisis with a single phone call. It is not difficult to see that Stubb's remarks are obviously not out of "good intentions", but rather have a sense of slander and digging holes.
In response, China also responded with restraint, saying that China and Russia are both independent powers, and China is not the creator of the Ukraine crisis, nor is it a party to it. China will always stand on the side of peace and dialogue.
China's response can be described as calm and restrained. At the same time, it is also pointed out that if you want to solve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, you should still go to the creators and parties of the conflict.
As for who has been adding fuel to the fire and fanning the flames of the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The constant push for Russia's war with Ukraine is clearly self-evident.
It is worth mentioning that netizens can't sit still for the Finnish president's unbelievable remarks, and some people commented: If Washington is willing, suspending aid to Ukraine can end the Russian-Ukrainian war.
It's just ironic that now the United States has not only not suspended the delivery of weapons to the Russian-Ukrainian battlefield, but is also increasing its efforts.
According to the latest media news, U.S. Secretary of Defense Austin recently said that the United States will provide Ukraine with a new security assistance worth $2.3 billion, which will include ammunition and key anti-aircraft and anti-tank weapons.
We know that the United States has been a major military supporter of Ukraine since the outbreak of the Ukraine crisis in February 2022, and the Biden administration has pledged more than $51 billion in weapons, ammunition and other military aid to Ukraine. It is incomprehensible that the United States is so supportive of Ukraine and Russia, but the Finnish president said that China can end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine.
So for the Finnish president's remarks, some people jokingly said that Trump had to find Trump for this matter, because Trump has repeatedly claimed that as soon as he takes office, he will immediately let Russia and Ukraine cease fire, so it is better to elect him to power quickly.
However, it is very coincidental that Zelensky and Trump have really had a confrontation on this matter recently. According to media reports, Zelensky is really anxious now, and he directly called on Trump to come up with a "truce plan" between Russia and Ukraine - bluntly: Don't wait until November, tell us now.
As we all know, the election in the United States is now fiercely competitive, Biden was almost "forced into the palace" because of his poor performance, and there are still many people who hope that Biden will "withdraw from the election for the country", but Trump is different, it can be said that Trump's momentum is very strong now.
According to previous US media reports, Trump has repeatedly said that if re-elected president, he can resolve the conflict between Russia and Ukraine within a day.
Recently, Trump announced at a rally in Philadelphia that if he wins the election, he will end the Russia-Ukraine conflict before he officially takes office.
In this regard, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky couldn't help it, and he responded to the statement on the same day, saying that if Trump knows how to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict, he should not wait until after the US presidential election in November to reveal the details, but say it now.
Zelensky said that "if Ukraine's independence is at risk, if we are at risk of losing statehood, we want to be ready for this".
And the most important thing is that Zelensky also mentioned in the interview that he wants to know whether Ukraine can still get strong support from the United States after the Americans vote in November, or can only fend for itself.
In fact, these words may be Zelensky's heartfelt words, and what Ukraine is most afraid of now may be to be abandoned by the United States and left to fend for itself. I don't know if the Zelensky government can bear this price, and now the American political scene is cloudy and uncertain, and Zelensky will definitely not be able to sleep at night.
In addition to the bad news coming out of the United States at every turn, NATO also gave Ukraine a notice, which made Zelensky even more cold.
According to foreign media reports, because of the high level of corruption, Ukraine will be told that it is not suitable to join NATO at the moment.
A senior U.S. State Department official said NATO needed to "commend Ukraine for what it has done in the name of reform over the past two years or so," but that it would demand "additional measures" from Kyiv, particularly in the area of anti-corruption, until progress can be made in negotiations on Ukraine's accession to NATO.
The report mentions that this position will be put in writing in the NATO communiqué, which will be signed at the NATO summit in Washington, USA.
I don't know if Zelensky, who has been "praised" by the United States, can still be happy, you know, Zelensky has been pushing Ukraine to join NATO.
And the idea of Ukraine is also simple, because once it succeeds in joining NATO, it will force the United States and Europe to protect Ukraine in the event of a Russian attack.
But the question is, will the United States and other NATO countries really easily let Ukraine join NATO? Whether the United States and NATO have been "painting cakes" for Zelensky is a question worth considering.
Not long ago, US President Joe Biden made an interesting statement, saying that achieving peace in Ukraine means ensuring that Russia will never be able to "occupy" Ukraine. But he does not believe that Ukraine must become a member of NATO for this. Biden mentioned that he had previously stated that he was not ready to support the "NATOIZATION" of Ukraine.
Subsequently, he recalled that he had visited Ukraine during his tenure as a U.S. senator and vice president, saying that he had been in Ukraine for a month when he was a senator and vice president. "There was a lot of corruption there, and it was a difficult situation."
I have to say that the meaning of Biden's words is already very clear, and even if Zelensky makes great efforts to push Ukraine to join NATO, it may only be in vain.
Today's NATO, while trying to use Ukraine to consume Russia, is careful not to involve itself in the conflict. At the same time, it is simply beautiful to want to do both, to contain China and Russia at the same time.
A few days ago, NATO Secretary-General Jens Stoltenberg brazenly said that NATO believes that China's actions challenge NATO's values, interests and security. Russia imports advanced technology to produce missiles and drones from China, which is fueling Europe's biggest conflict since World War II.
In this regard, the Chinese side directly asked, "I don't know what NATO's values are?" If it is to create contradictions by drawing ideological lines, inciting confrontation and aggravating tensions, then China really cannot agree with it. In fact, it is NATO that constantly challenges China, interferes in China's internal affairs, distorts and smears China's domestic and foreign policies, and seriously challenges China's interests and security. ”
The Chinese side sharply stated that on the Ukraine crisis, China has always been committed to promoting peace talks and promoting a political settlement. NATO should reflect on the root causes of the crisis and what it has done for peace in Europe and the world, instead of shirking its responsibilities and shifting contradictions.
I have to say that China's counterattack is really beautiful, and it has not saved face for NATO, and the United States and other countries must know what NATO's values are.
It is worth noting that in recent times, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has repeatedly made provocative and slanderous remarks against China, and has also called for various punitive measures against China, including sanctions, from time to time, which has also aroused Russia's dissatisfaction.
Anyone with a discerning eye can see that for the United States and NATO, the last thing they want to see now is the warming of Sino-Russian feelings, and if they can provoke China and Russia, it can be regarded as a strategy. However, contrary to expectations, the friendship between China and Russia has been strong in recent years.
There has also been a very important news recently. According to Hong Kong media reports, Russia is currently seeking cooperation with China to develop the 5,600-kilometer-long Arctic shipping lane, which stretches from the Kara Sea on the northwest coast of Siberia to the Bering Strait, into a year-round navigation route.
And earlier China and Russia had agreed to create a commission to "promote the development of the Arctic shipping route into an important international transport corridor" and increase shipping and infrastructure.
Some analysts point out that for Russia, the Arctic region is the most important strategic and economic priority, and the Arctic shipping lanes are essential for transporting its rich Arctic resources to the market. China, which relies on maritime transport for more than 60 percent of its trade, could help offset the risks of using existing shipping lanes, a win-win situation.
However, a number of international experts and scholars believe that in this matter, "Russia is more motivated than China". The first is that Russia, affected by the Russia-Ukraine conflict and international sanctions, is eager to develop the Arctic shipping route into a year-round shipping lane. For China, the development of the Arctic shipping lanes will face problems such as lack of infrastructure, geopolitical conflicts, and international sanctions.
Despite the difficulties, the future remains bright. Some Russian scholars said that in order to avoid a possible blockade of the Bering Strait by the United States in the future, China and Russia could instead develop waterways in Eurasia to connect China with the Arctic shipping lanes through the Siberian River. Once realized, China and Russia will be able to connect Asia to the Arctic Ocean without interference from the United States.
As for the cooperation between China and Russia on the Arctic project, I wonder if the United States and the West will make a big fuss about it as if they were facing a great enemy. However, as the spokesperson of the Chinese Foreign Ministry said not long ago, China and Russia should not be subject to any third party's interference or restriction in carrying out normal economic and trade cooperation on the basis of mutual respect, equality and mutual benefit.
It is hoped that the United States and some Western countries that follow the United States will see the current international situation clearly, keep a cool head, and blindly incite confrontation and block the way out for others, and the final result will be playing with fire and setting themselves on fire.
