Purchased a ticket and ready to fly
But I received a call from someone claiming to be an airline
The flight has been cancelled
Changes or refunds are required
and give financial compensation......
Such a scenario
If you encounter one, be vigilant
Otherwise, you risk being deceived
Recently, a number of airlines have issued reminders and announcements saying that there have been criminals pretending to be airlines' customer service staff to send fraudulent messages, if passengers receive such text messages or calls, they must contact the original ticketing platform, or log on to the airline's official website to verify, beware of being deceived.
It is understood that in the summer travel season, all kinds of ticket refund and change fraud messages and phone calls have also increased. According to recent news reports, a considerable number of passengers have been deceived by fraudulent information and phone calls, and many of them have been deceived into taking millions of dollars.
Recently, many domestic airlines such as Sichuan Airlines and Hebei Airlines have successively issued reminder announcements and introduced how to identify and verify to passengers. Since last year, the official websites of Air China, Hainan Airlines, Tibet Airlines, Xiamen Airlines and other airlines have also released similar reminders. The reporter noticed that the official websites of some airlines have repeatedly released tips on beware of fraud.
On July 7, Hebei Airlines issued a reminder that recently, some criminals pretended to be customer service staff of Hebei Airlines and made fraudulent calls to passengers on the grounds of aircraft mechanical failure and flight cancellations, inducing passengers to refund and change tickets or compensate for the business. If passengers receive such a call, they should verify and confirm as soon as possible, do not believe in unknown calls and messages, and if they find that their personal information has been leaked or fallen into a scam, contact the police as soon as possible, and keep relevant documents such as text messages, phone calls, and capital transactions, and the airline will actively cooperate to assist in the investigation.
According to reports, criminals pretend to be airline customer service staff to commit fraud, the usual trick is to lie that the passenger is taking the flight is delayed or canceled, the airline to give economic compensation to passengers, need passengers to cooperate with the change or refund procedures, in order to induce transfer or through "screen sharing" to obtain transaction information, and finally transfer the funds in the bank card of the deceived person.
Airlines especially remind that if you receive text messages and phone calls similar to flight cancellations, flight changes, ticket changes, etc., you must be vigilant, and you should verify through formal channels such as the airline's customer service hotline, official website, and online ticketing platform.
Forward reminders
