Viking heat treatment process
Soft annealing
It is heated to 880°C in a protective atmosphere, then cooled to 650°C at a cooling rate of about 10°C per hour, and then air-cooled.
Stress relief
After roughing, the mold is heated to 650°C, kept warm for 2 hours, slowly cooled to 500°C, and then air-cooled.
Hot forging
Forging temperature: 1090°C~900°C. The die is slowly heated and uniform to about 700°C, and then quickly heated to hot forging temperature. After forging, the mold should be placed in a furnace, charcoal, sand or vermiculite to cool slowly.
