On July 11, the "Sino-Arab People-to-People Exchange and Mutual Learning of Civilizations - Academic Seminar on the Mutual Translation and Dissemination of Sino-Arab Traditional Classics" was held at the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo, Egypt.

The seminar was co-sponsored by the International Confucian Federation, Beijing University of Foreign Languages and Chinese University, and Ain Shams University in Egypt.

Zhang Yi, Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Egypt and Director of the Chinese Cultural Center in Cairo, said in his speech that this seminar is a vivid practice of continuing the traditional friendship between China and Egypt and promoting exchanges and mutual learning between Chinese and Arab civilizations. The Chinese Embassy in Egypt and the China Cultural Center in Cairo will continue to build a bridge of communication and dialogue platform for Chinese and Egyptian scholars, and actively contribute to the development of the China-Egypt comprehensive strategic partnership.

Li Wei, vice president of the International Federation of Confucianism, said that he is willing to join hands with Egypt scholars and friends to be the disseminator of Chinese Confucianism and traditional culture, the defender of the diversity of world civilizations, and the practitioner of dialogue among civilizations, so as to jointly strengthen the friendship between China and Egypt and China and Argentina.
