Not long after two Chinese were kidnapped and killed in the Philippines, two foreigners, both Australian, were killed by killers in a luxury hotel in a popular tourist destination in the country.

The three victims were identified as their Filipino daughter-in-law, 30-year-old Mary · Jane · Cortez.
Mary Jane Cortez, 30·, was also killed in · room, police said.
The trio stayed at the Lake Hotel, one of the city's most luxurious hotels, in the village of Mahalikasi in Tagaita. It is reported that the couple was supposed to fly back to China on the day of the death, but decided to extend the trip at the last minute, but this change left them in a foreign land.

On Ctrip, the hotel's high-end room price is less than 1,000, which is not expensive in China, but most of the surrounding hotels are hundreds of grades.
Because of the homicide, Ctrip showed that the hotel was "sold out".
Police interviewed witnesses and examined surveillance footage from the hotel and found that the killer was a man wearing a mask, black hoodie and maroon shorts who walked out of the victim's room with a bag hours before he was found. The valuables in the room were not touched at all, indicating that they were not for money.
Police suspect that the killer may have come at their daughter-in-law, and that the Australia couple was an incidental victim.
To make matters even more terrifying, the security guard at the door of the hotel also saw the man at the hotel earlier in the day (6 a.m. on Wednesday). When the security guard asked why the killer was there, the killer claimed that he had stayed in the victim's room. The security guard also said he saw the suspect holding a key card from a hotel room.
Abraham · Tolentino, a prominent Philippine politician and local mayor, had to publicly apologize to Australia, vowing to resolve the incident "as soon as possible."

Tagaytay, officially known as Tagaytay City, is a second-tier city in the province of Cavite, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, the city has a population of 85,330 people.
Tagaytay is one of the most popular domestic destinations in the Philippines, close to the capital Manila, less than 60 kilometers via the Aguinado Highway and a maximum of an hour's drive away. It is a place with beautiful scenery, high altitude and cool climate.
You can also see Taal Lake, one of the world's smallest active volcanoes in the middle of the lake, Tagaytay, overlooking Batangas, and Taal Volcano Island in the middle of the lake from various vantage points in the city.
More than 90% of Tagaytay is Christian. It stands to reason that the folk customs should be simple. But it's really creepy to think that the killer swaggered in and out of luxury hotels, evading the security guards, as if he were in a no-man's land.
No matter how good the scenery is, you still have to have a life to enjoy, and this place in the Philippines is too dangerous, at least in the short term, you can't travel.
