IT Home reported on July 13 that on July 12, Honor officially launched a new generation of flagship tablets - Honor Tablet MagicPad2. It is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 processor and is available in three color options: Moon Shadow White, Sky Sea Blue, and Starry Sky Black. The HONOR MagicPad2 is also equipped with the industry's unique 3K 144Hz OLED HONOR Vision Soothing Oasis Eye Care Screen, and has achieved revolutionary innovations and upgrades in key areas such as AI smart office and ultra-perceptual spatial audio, with "AI PC-level productivity".
In an interview after the press conference, Zhao Ming, CEO of Honor, gave an in-depth sharing on the Honor tablet MagicPad2. In Zhao's opinion, the Honor Tablet MagicPad2 performs well in almost all aspects in comparison with other brands in the industry, including core competitors Apple (iPad) and MatePad.
"Almost everything is strong and wins," Zhao Ming confidently pointed out in the interview.
Zhao Ming said: "The display of the screen, the OLED screen, 144 Hz, and at the same time, you will see the AI defocus eye protection technology, which is the most capable technology in all aspects of the screen, and the PWM dimming of 4320 Hz." "When it comes to audio, Honor takes spatial audio, visual and auditory experiences to the extreme, probably the best in the industry. Zhao Ming mentioned that in the application scenario, whether it is office, meeting, class notes or interviews, the use of Honor tablets will become very convenient. In addition, the combination of an Honor phone and a tablet, coupled with the MagicBook Art or MagicBook 14 Pro, is definitely a "perfect match".
It is reported that the "AI PC-level productivity" of the Honor tablet MagicPad2 is suitable for notes, tables, documents, meetings and other scenarios, and supports Word, PPT, Excel and other text editing work. In terms of operation, users can slide up the Dock bar on any interface to complete operations such as screen cutting and splitting, and can automatically adjust the size of the floating window, bringing a PC-level window experience. The Honor MagicPad2 also supports "Any Door", which can be dragged to generate a meeting schedule and quickly join a meeting. The AI voiceprint noise reduction function can actively identify the owner's voice and filter the noise with one click; The AI speech-to-text function can complete automatic typesetting, and the AI meeting minutes can intelligently summarize the text in seconds.
On the screen, the Honor Tablet MagicPad2 is equipped with a 12.3-inch ultra-high-definition OLED screen with 3K ultra-high resolution, 290PPI pixel density, and 1600nits peak brightness. At the press conference, the Honor tablet MagicPad2 was compared with the Apple iPad Pro, in which the resolution, refresh rate, and screen-to-body ratio were far superior to the iPad Pro.
This time, the glory tablet MagicPad2 also uses AI to enable screen eye protection, and it is equipped with AI defocus eye protection technology for the first time, it is reported that AIThe defocus eye protection technology combines end-side AI with the screen, which can turn the mobile phone screen into a "defocus lens" according to the user's eye environment and habits. Previously, Lab data officially released by Honor showed that after 25 minutes of screen reading with AI defocus eye protection technology, the transient myopia indicator was reduced by an average of 13 degrees, and a maximum of 75 degrees.
According to Zhao Ming, after this technology breaks through in flagship mobile phones, it will be quickly applied to Honor's high-end, digital series, and other series of products that use OLED screens.
In other aspects, the Honor Tablet MagicPad2 also adopts the only 4320Hz zero-risk dimming in the tablet industry, with natural light-like eye protection, hardware-level low blue light, sleep aid display and other technologies, and has also passed four authoritative eye protection certifications, including Germany TÜV Rheinland Flicker-free certification for zero-risk dimming, Germany TÜV Rheinland low blue light certification for filtering harmful blue light, National Ophthalmic Engineering Center eye protection certification, VicoA + visual comfort test, and other four authoritative eye protection certifications.
When discussing the need for eye care, Zhao Ming made it clear in the interview that whether it is learning to use from teenagers or using it in the office, eye protection is definitely a rigid need. There are already 300 million patients with dry eye syndrome in China this year, because everyone can't do without smartphones, and they use it for 5 to 6 hours a day, which will cause dry eye problems. And glory is to solve it from these aspects.
Some media said that the current market innovation is slowing down, but Honor's investment in innovation is still huge. In this regard, Zhao Ming said that Honor continues to do a good job of what real consumers need. "It's not that the development of mobile phones has hit a bottleneck, it's that we're not focusing on what we need to do. As long as you continue to focus on your own AI-enabled hardware, or individual hardware innovation, you can actually do a lot. We just did what we had to do. Zhao Ming said in an interview.
