According to the meteorological forecast, in the next 12 hours, Shiquan County will continue to rain, on the morning of July 17, Shiquan Hydropower Station opened the flood gate to control the water level in the reservoir area.
At around 10:45 a.m. on the same day, the inflow of Shiquan Hydropower Station reached 1,800 cubic meters per second, and Datang Shiquan Hydropower Plant instructed Shiquan Hydropower Station to open the flood gate.
Zhu Zhanqi, Deputy Chief Engineer and Director of the Flood Control Office of Datang Shiquan Hydroelectric Power Plant: According to the rising situation of this flood, we have opened the large bottom hole, the No. 5 middle hole in the flood discharge, and the No. 4 middle hole in the flood discharge, with a total outflow of 4,300 cubic meters per second.
Since the occurrence of heavy rainfall, Datang Shiquan Hydroelectric Power Plant has paid close attention to weather forecasts, major meteorological reports and other information, carefully studied and judged the actual situation of upstream water, strengthened communication with upstream reservoir power stations, and done a good job in reservoir scheduling in a scientific and timely manner.
Zhu Zhanqi, Deputy Chief Engineer and Director of the Flood Control Office of Datang Shiquan Hydropower Plant: In view of the current round of heavy rainfall, Shiquan Hydropower Plant has made arrangements in advance: first, through power generation pre-discharge, the reservoir water level will be reduced to 394.6 meters, which is ready for the subsequent Tengku peak; Third, the flood control materials have been inventoried and supplemented to ensure that they are prepared.
