In the past two days, many retirees have received a good news: the pension has begun to be repaid! Some lucky old comrades took several thousand yuan more at once, and they were so happy that they couldn't keep their mouths shut. But some people also find that the amount of their pension repayment does not seem to be so much, especially for those born after 1954, many of whom have only repaid a few hundred yuan, or even less. Everyone started to discuss: why is there such a big difference? Are those born after 1954 so "worthless"?
In fact, 1954 was really a "watershed" for pensions. This is mainly because, in the early days of the founding of the People's Republic of China, our country's old-age security system was not perfect, mainly relying on financial payment. Comrades who joined the work before 1954 basically did not pay pension insurance premiums during their tenure, and the pension after retirement was covered by the state. Since 1954, especially after the 90s, with the establishment of the socialist market economy, the pension insurance system has been gradually established and improved, and the model of combining social pooling and personal accounts has begun to be implemented.
There are two different ways to calculate and pay pensions: those who participated in the insurance before 1954 are borne by the state finance, and on this basis, a certain amount is added every month according to the full year of service. After 1954, the basic pension should be calculated according to factors such as the number of years of payment, the amount of personal accounts, etc., and linked to individual contributions. This leads to the fact that the pension of the older is generally higher than that of the younger for the same retirees, and the amount of supplementary payment will naturally widen the gap.
Some old comrades may be unhappy: I have also worked for decades, how come the pension I get is not as much as a fraction of those "old men"? In fact, everyone has a problem. At the beginning of the founding of the People's Republic of China, the country was in ruins, and it was not easy to provide a basic old-age security for the majority of employees. At that time, the wages of the workers and workers were generally low, and if a part of them were deducted from it to pay the pension insurance, life would definitely be more difficult. Therefore, there is a reform idea of "development first and then improvement". Nowadays, the pension insurance system is becoming more and more mature, and the contribution ratio and treatment level are constantly improving, which is what the younger generations should be grateful for.
Of course, we must also see that the current pension insurance system is not perfect enough. On the one hand, due to the previous heavy financial burden, low individual contributions, the overall pension replacement rate is low, and in some places there is even a situation where the fund income cannot be offset by expenditure. On the other hand, there is still a lack of uniformity in the system between government organs, public institutions, and enterprises, and between urban workers and rural residents, and there is a big gap in remuneration. Coupled with the intensification of population aging, it is foreseeable that more efforts will be needed to achieve the long-term sustainable development of pensions.
Therefore, for retirees born after 1954, the key to how much the pension can rise in the future depends on the personal rights and interests record. If the salary is higher and the payment period is longer, the pension level after retirement will naturally be higher. On the contrary, if the base is low and the life period is short, it is good to reissue one or two thousand yuan. This also reminds young professionals: they must pay pension insurance premiums on time and in full, and plan for more protection for their retirement life.
At present, the state is promoting the national overall planning of pension insurance, and all localities are also exploring the establishment of a multi-level and multi-pillar pension security system. I believe that in the next few years, with the continuous improvement of the system, whether it is a newly retired or a retired veteran comrade, the days will become more and more prosperous. We should not only take precautions for a rainy day, but also care more about the elderly around us, so that they can enjoy the "sunset red" of happiness. As long as we work together to hold up the happy dream of the elderly, the Chinese-style pension business will definitely be better and better!
