Wanquan right Acropolis was built in the 26th year of Hongwu in the Ming Dynasty (1393), has a history of 631 years, is known as "the first guard in the west of Beijing", and because it is the most well-protected Ming Dynasty Acropolis site along the Great Wall so far, it is also known as "the living fossil made by the Ming Dynasty Wei", in 2006 it was listed as a national key cultural relics protection unit by the State Council.

Since the trial operation of Wanquan Right Acropolis on February 2, Wanquan District has successively carried out a series of cultural and tourism activities such as "Happy Zhangjiakou · for the New Year", "China Federation of Literary and Art Voluntary Performances to Benefit the People Entering Wanquan Right Acropolis" and "International Museum Day". Up to now, the right acropolis has received more than 2.2 million tourists, with an average of 14,600 tourists per day, created more than 1,000 jobs, and driven the business of catering, snacks, accommodation and entertainment outside the city to increase by more than 60 million yuan.
