With the rapid development of wireless communication equipment technology, the impact of electromagnetic radiation generated by wireless communication equipment on human health has also attracted more and more attention. Government departments and telecommunications regulatory agencies have made clear regulations that the impact of electromagnetic radiation on the human body must meet safety standards before it can be put on the market.
What is SAR
SAR is used to evaluate the exposure of the human body to electromagnetic radiation when the wireless communication product is used close to the human body, and the SAR value is related to the square of the electric field and the temperature change rate, which reflects the magnitude of the electromagnetic field power absorbed by the unit human tissue. The SAR value is used to determine the effects of physical radiation on the human body, which is a standard for determining whether radiation is harmful to our human body.
Standard requirements for SAR
The SAR test is mainly for products containing wireless transmission within 20cm of the antenna close to the human body, and the power of the product exceeds the power value exempted by each country.
For some products, such as the display screen and electronic display screen used on the wall in the hospital room, although the main body is a tablet computer and also has a wireless transmission function, the use environment of the product is fixed in a certain place (belonging to a fixed equipment), and the transmitting antenna is not close to the human body when used, so there is no need to do SAR testing.
SAR test
SAR testing is a SAR measurement system consisting of a mannequin, a measuring instrument, a probe and a robotic arm, which simulates the effects of radio frequency emitted by electronic devices when the human body is exposed to radiation. The inside of the human body model is a liquid substance (simulating human tissue fluid), and the electromagnetic properties of the liquid are consistent with the electromagnetic properties of human tissue, and the probe can move freely in it for testing, and finally the SAR value is calculated by formula.
