The gang rape case of 44 people in Miryang occurred in 2004, a 14-year-old girl met the male high school students in Miryang through dating software, and fell into a hellish life of being sexually assaulted and gang raped for 1 year, with as many as 44 perpetrators, and the perpetrators even called her sister out to seize her money after learning that she had a younger sister, and beat her up if she didn't give money. Since most of the male students who were harmed were minors, the heaviest punishment was to be sent to a juvenile home for counseling, and 0 people faced criminal punishment.
"Want to Know the Truth" followed the line to find the sisters who were victimized 20 years ago, and wanted to know the truth of the investigation that year, so they decided to stand in front of the camera and be interviewed, "How many people have been reconciled, why there is no right to prosecute, and why there is no statement from the victim, what is the benchmark for detention, non-detention and being sent to a juvenile home for probation, I want to know."

At that time, they faced the insults of the investigating police "why did you come to defile the water of Miryang", and their biological father, who loved to drink, accepted a settlement of 45 million won. Kim Sun-mi (pseudonym), the victim's sister, said bitterly, "Since 2004, it has been the same, and I can't even live a normal daily life without medicine." The two sisters did not even graduate from high school and are still in the medical school of mental health.
After 20 years of silence, why did you choose to show up? Kim Sun-mi's sister said, "I don't feel like it's going to end easily, our story has been discussed, and I want to try to face it once." The sisters always thought that at least some of the 44 perpetrators would be punished, "At that time, we were all young, and we thought that as long as we testified, all the perpetrators would be punished." Only recently did it be discovered that zero people had been punished.

The time of the victim sister is forever stuck in 2004, but the perpetrator has been able to live a good life for 20 years. Asked what is a dream? Kim Sun-mi (Kana) replied, "I don't remember what my dream is, my mother, my brother and my sister, who is very hard because of me, I hope they can break free from the nightmare a little bit, I hope they are happy, this should be my dream."
For the first time in 20 years, the victims expressed their gratitude to the people who supported them through interviews, "Thank you to many people for their support, and I will never forget it for the rest of my life", they are about to move, and they plan to continue to receive unfinished psychological treatment, they do not want to retaliate against the perpetrators, but only hope to correct the situation through the interview. After the full content was broadcast on "Want to Know the Truth" on the 20th, it caused repercussions on the Korean Internet.
