Wu Zequn, born in 1968, graduated from the graduate class of Shanghai Chinese Painting Academy. He is a disciple of the famous Chinese painter Wang Hongxi.
In 1988, he won an international award for his ink animation short film "Landscape Love", which he participated in at Shangmei Film.
In 2000, he designed and directed an animated short film for the Olympic bid, which was well received by the Olympic Bidding Committee and internationally. In the same year, he participated in the design and production of CCTV's large-scale animation series "Journey to the West", which was praised by all walks of life.
In 2003, he participated in the design and production of CCTV's large-scale animation series "The Legend of Nezha", which was well received.
In 2013, he moved to Indianapolis, United States, as a professional painter.
In 2013, his solo exhibition "Ink Flag" opened in Houston, United States, and was well received.
In June 2015, he signed a contract with Agora Gallery in New York, United States.
In January 2016, his Chinese paintings were selected by Agora Gallery in Chelsea, New York, and held a solo exhibition of Chinese paintings in this gallery, and signed a contract with Agora Gallery.
2016 The 52nd Asian Modern Art Exhibition. The work won the exhibition award.
In August 2016, he participated in the China-Korea Cultural and Art Exchange Exhibition (Korea), and his works were collected by the Korea Cultural Center and the Academy of Science and Technology, and won the Best Honor Award of Korea.
In October 2016, he participated in the 2016 International Ink Painting Exhibition in Osaka, Japan, and "Dream Gangnam" won the honorary award.

In September 2021, he participated in the 18th anniversary exhibition of Shanghai Qingmojiao Painting and Calligraphy Institute.
In September 2022, he participated in the Beijing Calligraphy and Painting Elite Works Exhibition of the Chinese Culture and Art Talent Pool, and "Spring Breeze with the South Bank of the Green River" was collected.
In September 2022, he participated in the calligraphy invitational exhibition of the Beijing Federation of Literary and Art Circles.
In December 2022, he participated in the Chinese Painting Yearbook "Midland Cup" National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition and won the gold medal.
