In the past few days, the Taiwan military and the Lai Ching-te authorities have been very arrogant, because the Taiwan military conducted a five-day and four-night live military exercise from 22 to 26 July, that is, the so-called "Han Kuang-40" large-scale military exercise. According to Taiwan media reports, the Taiwan Army's "Kinmen Defense Command" carried out the "Han Kuang-40" exercise instructions and conducted 240 howitzers firing live ammunition, and the Taiwan army advocated "showing our invincible and strong combat strength that will not give up an inch of land."
It has been learned that this batch of 240 howitzers of the Kinmen Taiwan Army is mainly deployed at the Taiwu Mountain position in the central part of Kinmen Island, and its effective firing range can cover most of the mainland's Xiamen Island. According to the simulated military exercise conducted by the DPP authorities and the Taiwan military, once a war breaks out, they will take advantage of their proximity to bombard the central urban area of Xiamen. We should kill and injure Xiamen, a key city on the mainland, to the greatest extent possible, and deter the mainland from lightly using force against Taiwan.
This 240 mm howitzer is currently the largest caliber in service, and the Taiwanese army deployed them in Kinmen and Matsu, it is the United States M1 240 mm howitzer. The M1 240-mm howitzer, nicknamed the "Black Dragon", has a maximum range of up to 23 km. The closest distance between Kinmen and Xiamen is less than 3 kilometers. It can fire 160 kg of high-explosive shells, which is more than three times the weight of the 155 mm grenades commonly used by the armies of various countries today.
It can be said that once a war breaks out between the two sides of the strait, as long as the Taiwan army can successfully launch a 240 artillery shell to hit the urban area of Xiamen, then our mainland will already lose half of it. Therefore, these outer islands, which are currently garrisoned by the Taiwan military, especially those with medium- and long-range strike weapons, must be completely destroyed at the moment before the war. In particular, the heavy artillery and missiles that are currently deployed on the eastern island of Kinmen and Matsu are currently under conditions.
This time, the Taiwan military rarely used 240 artillery pieces to conduct live firing, and its purpose was to send a signal of "reciprocal deterrence." The Taiwan military's live-fire drill in the past two days was mainly divided into two parts: The first was to concentrate superior and targeted forces to "severely attack" the PLA aircraft carrier battle group off the coast of eastern Taiwan. The second is to concentrate a large number of anti-ship missiles and ambush them on the coastline of Taiwan Island to snipe at our army's sea-crossing ships.
For example, the Taiwan military's F-16V fighter planes "specially mounted air-launched Harpoon anti-ship missiles" took off directly after refueling and repairing in the cave. Taiwan's "Haifeng Group," on the other hand, uses four types of anti-ship missiles (the improved Hsiung-2, Hsiung-3, extended-range Hsiung-3, and Harpoon missiles) with a range of more than 500 kilometers to cooperate with the F-16 to focus on attacking our military's aircraft carrier formations, amphibious assault ships, and large landing ships.
At present, the main equipment of Taiwan's anti-ship missile units is the "Hsiungfeng" series of anti-ship missile systems (at least nearly 1,500 anti-ship missiles are in reserve), and in the future it will receive 100 sets of US-made shore-based Harpoon anti-ship missile systems. The unit pursued the operational principle of "maneuvering quickly and concentrating firepower," and adopted a rapid maneuver of kilometers, disguised itself as various civilian vehicles, and concentrated firepower to carry out surprise attacks on our warships.
It has to be said that these shore-to-ship anti-ship missiles pose a very great threat to all types of ships of our military. However, we are not completely out of the cracks against them. For example, a large number of reconnaissance and attack drones of our army will be the nemesis of these shore-to-ship missile units.
Recently, our army has a "reconnaissance and fighting" twin-tailed scorpion drone that circled Taiwan in a counterclockwise direction, all the way close to Taiwan Island for reconnaissance. The maximum flight time of the twin-tailed scorpion drone is 35 hours, and it only takes 13 hours to "circle around Taiwan", which means that it can fly back 2 times around Taiwan in a row. The most terrifying thing is that it can carry 12 air-to-ground missiles of various kinds, which can attack various military targets on the island.
That is, once the war starts, our army only needs to use missiles and rockets to cooperate with drones to carry out 24-hour uninterrupted firepower strikes and coverage. The number of rockets in our army can be as high as 1 million, while the number of anti-aircraft missiles in the Taiwan army is only a few thousand. Our army's drones can use hundreds of thousands, and how many can the Taiwanese army shoot down?
