After the exhibition "Tide of the People's ·", Zhang Xinzhe became more and more enthusiastic about collecting cheongsam, and gained a lot in the past year. He said that as a fan of the Shanghai Museum, he often quietly walked into the exhibition hall and quietly enjoyed the exhibition alone, and he felt the nourishment of his soul and the soothing of his emotions by exquisite and precious cultural relics and artworks, which made him always love cultural and museum art. When it was learned that the East Hall of the Shanghai Museum was preparing for the "Jiangnan Creation" theme exhibition, and there was a demand for the display of Shanghai-style cheongsam, it proposed that the Shanghai Museum could select the needs of the Shanghai Museum from more than 1,000 pieces of cheongsam collection and donate it free of charge, so as to fill the vacancy of such collections, and at the same time promote the most beautiful art that integrates tradition and fashion, and the East and the West collide - Shanghai-style cheongsam art.

After 3 years and more than 10 rounds of repeated selection, Zhang Xinzhe selected 10 distinctive and representative cheongsam collections from more than 1,000 cheongsam collections according to the needs of Shangbo. When he learned that the Qing Dynasty women's clothing, a Jiangnan characteristic category in the Shanghai Museum's collection, also needed to be supplemented, Mr. Zhang generously donated two Qing Dynasty shirts and gowns for rotation. "I believe that through the collection and sorting of the museum, more people will appreciate these collections and feel the unique charm of Shanghai-style cheongsam. Traditional cultural heritage needs everyone's attention, participation and contribution, and we will continue to study and discuss with the experts of Shangbo in the future to prepare for the next batch of donations. Hopefully, this is the beginning of more long-term collaborations and better sharing of more precious works of art with everyone. Zhang Xinzhe said.

After appreciating and evaluating by clothing experts, it is believed that this batch of clothing has a variety of styles and distinctive styles, and has obvious characteristics of the times and aesthetic taste of mutual learning between China and the West. This batch of cheongsams as a whole reflects the history of the changes and development of Shanghai-style cheongsams 100 years ago, and has precious research value in the history of clothing. The cheongsam is hand-sewn, with exquisite craftsmanship, fine and elegant Jiangnan or Shanghai style embroidery, flower buckles and other decorations; The fabric pattern samples are rich and artistic, with luxurious fabrics such as velvet and jacquard, supplemented by embroidery, flower buckles, contrasting colors, inlay and other decorative processes.
Among them, 3 cheongsams were works of well-known brands at that time, such as "Xianshi", "Xinxin", "King Kong" and so on. The shirt of the Qing Dynasty is decorated with the three blue embroidery method of Suzhou embroidery in the south of the Yangtze River to decorate the fresh and beautiful artistic style, while the cardigan gown is made with fine workmanship, and the embroidery patterns and techniques can be seen in the unique fine and elegant local charm of Suzhou embroidery.
