The Ducati Panigale V4 Series 2025 was officially launched at WDW 2024 in Italy on July 26, and the new model is also available in two versions, the Panigale V4 for $25,995 and the Panigale V4S for $33,895. However, compared with the old model, there are great changes, especially the change in appearance, which may be difficult for many people to accept for a while.
The 2025 Panigale V4 has a significantly updated engine, chassis and electronics, with the new Panigale V4 inspired by the legendary 916 and innovations inherited from the former championship-winning Desmosedici GP MotoGP car.
Changes in the exterior of the 2025 Panigale V4
The change at the front of the car is a makeover, with the big deep eyes and lens-lens headlights on the old model now becoming slender squinting eyes, a design that is full of novelty, but always gives people a sense of "horizon". And the new model integrates the fixed air wing with the front fairing, but the integration does not seem to be so coordinated, and the designer of Ducati has changed. It is said that the new twin headlights have become thinner in part due to the fact that the air intakes have been changed to be hidden under the fairing, and for whatever reason, the results don't seem to be as satisfactory.
In contrast to the older model, the shark-gill vents on both sides of the Panigale V4 are missing from the side surrounds, replaced by a large vent behind the radiator and a narrow slit behind the oil cooler. And the new model has a larger red body area, stretching from the fuel tank to the rear, which is said to be inspired by the Ducati 916.
The leading edge of the fairing has also been redesigned to allow more space around the front wheels, a design element inherited from the Desmosedici GP, which Ducati claims will allow the new Panigale V4 to be more agile when changing direction at high speeds.
Ducati says the Panigale V4's new fairing, which is capable of reducing air resistance by 4%, and a new ride triangle to make better use of the new aerodynamics, while improving overall handling. At the same time, the new seat is longer and wider, allowing for greater freedom of movement for the rider while providing more support when braking and cornering. Compared to the older Panigale V4, the pedals are further back to improve aerodynamics while providing more ground clearance. At the same time, Ducati has reshaped the tank to give the rider's knees a stronger grip when slowing down or cornering.

The Ducati Panigale V4 2025 gets an upgraded engine, but it's still a 1,103cc 90° V-four with a counter-rotating crankshaft and dual-pulse ignition, but Ducati has changed the cam profile and increased valve lift. The new engine inherits the alternator and oil pump of the Panigale V4R, and the transmission drum is the same as that of the Superlegerra V4, while also tweaking the variable intake.
The new engine now complies with Euro 5+ emission standards, with a maximum torque of 216Ps at 13,500rpm and a maximum torque of 120.6Nm at 11,250rpm, which can be increased to 228 hp with the optional Akrapovič racing exhaust pipe, which is an additional 12 hp.

For the frame, Ducati optimizes lateral stiffness without reducing longitudinal stiffness. For this reason, the front frame was modified, and the handsome single wisharm was abandoned, and a new double-sided rocker arm was adopted, which many riders probably could not accept. Ducati said it developed two new swingarm designs for the new model, one with a single swingarm and one with a dual swingarm, and asked for feedback from test riders, with both swingarms coming out on top, meaning the former was chosen between good and good-looking. This hollow symmetrical double swingarm has 37% less lateral stiffness but is lighter, 3.7 kg lighter than the old model. The same frame stiffness is reduced by 40 percent, but the weight is reduced by 17 percent, and together with Forged Wheels designed and manufactured in-house, the weight is reduced by 2.17 kg, and the moment of inertia at the front and rear is reduced by 22 percent and 23.5 percent, respectively.
The new Panigale V4S is equipped with third-generation electronic shocks, Ohlins NPX-30 inverted front shocks, Ohlins TTX36 rear shocks with gas cylinders and Ohlins steering dampers, while the standard variant is equipped with 43mm Showa large-piston inverted front shocks and Sachs rear shocks (both fully adjustable) and Sachs steering dampers.
The braking system is also completely new, with the new Panigale V4 being one of the first models to be equipped with Brembo Hypure front brake calipers. Brembo claims that these calipers are 10% lighter than the competition and dissipate heat better. The new Panigale V4 is also the first to feature the Bosch Race Electronic Combined Braking System (eCBS). Race eCBS is track-only and applies rear brake pressure by simply pulling the front brake lever and mimics the driving technique of a professional racer, delaying the braking point as much as possible when cornering, and even continuing to apply a little rear brake pressure after releasing the front brake lever quite forcefully.

In terms of electronic control, Ducati has developed a new electronic suite for the new Panigale V4, called Ducati (DVO), which was developed by Ducati's MotoGP racing project and uses information from the IMU inertial gauge to calculate the maximum load that the motorcycle can withstand in various riding conditions. The electronic control package includes Ducati Traction Control DVO, Ducati Slip Control, Ducati Front Wheel Ground Clearance Control DVO, Ducati Power Start DVO and Engine Brake Control. The new Panigale V4 is also equipped with Ducati Quick Shift 2.0, which is operated using the angular position sensor of the shift drum for more direct feedback and shorter strokes.
The new 6.9-inch TFT full-color instrument cluster with an 8:3 aspect ratio and a larger horizontal viewing area is more technological than the gauges of the old model, and the display uses optical bonding technology to reduce reflections and improve recognition. The widescreen ratio provides room for more information, including real-time display of lateral and vertical acceleration, maximum power and torque transfer percentage, and tilt angle.

Other features of the new model include a 17-litre aluminium fuel tank and Pirelli Diablo Supercorsa V4 tyres. In addition, the new Panigale V4S is equipped with a lithium-ion battery, forged aluminium rims, and a dry weight of just 187kg, while the Panigale V4 is slightly heavier with a dry weight of 191kg. Of course, the new model will also offer a range of new options, including racing seats and a dry clutch. For the first time, Ducati also offers navigation, cruise control and tire pressure monitoring as optional features on the Panigale V4. The new Panigale V4 is only available as standard for a single seater, but a rear cushion kit is available as an option.
