On July 25, Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi officially arrived in Laos by special plane, and in addition to visiting Laos, a close neighbor of Laos, who "shares the same river water", he will also attend a series of ASEAN ministerial meetings.
Within 24 hours of the plane landing, Foreign Minister Wang Yi met with three foreign ministers, namely Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Salonxay, India Foreign Minister S Jaishankar, and Russia Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov.

During the meeting with the Lao Foreign Minister, Wang Yi made a face-to-face commitment, saying that China has always given priority to the development of China-Laos relations in its neighborhood diplomacy. In this regard, the Lao side expressed its gratitude, and Sharonxay also used the words "sending charcoal in the snow" to describe China's long-term selfless help to Laos.
In the past, due to backward transportation conditions and no railway, Laos' domestic economic construction has not been effectively developed for a long time, but since joining China's "Belt and Road" initiative, this problem has been solved.
Therefore, the Lao people often have a special affection for China, and at a time when the geopolitical situation is changing, China's good relations with its neighbors, including Laos, can also ensure the security of the external development environment. In this regard, Laos also made a promise to China, saying that it will jointly resist the interference and infiltration of external forces and promote regional peace and prosperity.

Compared with the harmonious atmosphere between China and Laos, we have another neighboring country around us, which from time to time provokes on border issues, and that is India. With India Prime Minister Narendra Modi starting a new term, how to deal with China, especially the border issue, has been placed on the priority of relations between the two countries.
Taking advantage of the opportunity to jointly attend the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting, the foreign ministers of China and India gathered together for a face-to-face meeting. During the meeting, the two sides also talked about border affairs of common concern, and India took the initiative to put forward them, saying that they were willing to seek solutions to the border issues with China with historical vision and strategic thinking.
This statement is still relatively rare, but it is not enough to just say it, it must be implemented in concrete actions before it has practical significance. Over the past period of time, some irresponsible measures taken by the Indian side, including sending more troops to the China-India border and visiting the southern Tibetan region of the mainland, have had a negative impact on the tranquility of the border situation between the two countries.

The Chinese side has always maintained that China and India are neighbors that cannot be moved away, and that there is much to be done in bilateral cooperation, and that the border issue should be placed in an appropriate position in bilateral relations, rather than allowing it to dominate all aspects of China-India relations, which will hinder the process of China-India cooperation.
In fact, the high-level diplomacy between China and Russia has hardly stopped for more than a year, and President Putin's first visit to China after his successful re-election in May this year fully demonstrates the importance that Russia attaches to the development of Sino-Russian relations.
This year, China and Russia both hold a special role in regional affairs, and Russia is the rotating chair of the BRICS and is preparing for the Kazan summit; China, on the other hand, has taken over the presidency of the SCO. In this regard, the Russian side expressed its full support, and China also pledged to fully support the Russian side in fulfilling its duties. This shows the tacit understanding between China and Russia.

Correspondingly, United States Secretary of State Blinken has long said that he will meet with the Chinese foreign minister in Laos, but did not wait for China's reply until the 26th.
In addition to attending Laos, Blinken's trip will also go to Japan, the Philippines and Mongolia to seek to consolidate the so-called "United States' security commitment to regional allies", but in fact, United States only wants to provoke bloc confrontation in the region to achieve its geopolitical agenda.
In this regard, we neither welcome nor agree that the Asia-Pacific region is a highland of peace and should not become the front line of confrontation, and that the US side's attempt to buck the trend and sow division in the Asia-Pacific region is doomed to be unpopular.
