According to ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne, 76ers star Ben Simmons had a "brief" meeting with general manager Elton Brand and team president Darryl Morey.
It was reportedly Simmons' first conversation with management since August, meaning the two sides were one step closer to reconciliation. The 25-year-old unexpectedly returned to Philadelphia on Tuesday after trying to force the team to trade himself.
Simmons has reportedly passed a medical exam, but because of the NBA's health and safety deals, he can't play basketball with his teammates as early as Saturday. Sources told Shelburne it was unclear if Simmons would make a comeback in time for the 76ers' preseason game against the Pistons in Detroit.
