Affected by the recent rainfall and the increase in water from the upstream, the water level of the Zhangwei River has risen. Beiguantao Town heard the "flood" and moved, quickly activated the emergency plan, increased the frequency of inspections of the embankment, strictly implemented various flood prevention measures, and made every effort to build a flood control "safety embankment" to ensure the safety of the people in the jurisdiction.
In the Qiaomazhuang risk section of Guantao Town, Zhangwei River, the flood control emergency team composed of nine villagers is conducting a dragnet inspection of the embankment, carefully observing the changes in the water level, checking whether the embankment has loopholes, cracks, water seepage, etc., to ensure that the danger is discovered, reported and dealt with as soon as possible. "Up to now, although the impact of rainy weather has gradually weakened, but the water from the upper reaches of the Zhangwei River is still continuing, the highest flow is expected to reach 240m³/s, and the water level has risen by more than 1 meter. Sun Hanli, deputy mayor of Beiguan Tao Town, told reporters.
Flood control work is no trivial matter. Since entering the flood season, Beiguantao Town has comprehensively compacted the responsibility for flood control, refined the implementation of flood control measures, formulated and issued emergency plans for flood control, strictly implemented the leadership and 24-hour duty system, carried out flood control embankment patrol work on a regular basis, and did a solid job in emergency rescue material reserves and personnel security to ensure that flood control materials and personnel are fully prepared, mobilized, transported and used, so as to ensure the safety of the whole town.
