In 2019, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security established and improved the information release system for new occupations, implemented dynamic adjustment of occupational classification, and released 1 to 2 batches of new occupational information every year thereafter. In 2022, the Occupational Classification Dictionary of the People's Republic of China (2022 Edition) was revised and promulgated. In order to reflect the changes and trends of career development in a timely manner, in October 2023, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security issued a notice to openly solicit new career information from the public. In May this year, it was announced to the public to solicit opinions after relevant institutions and units to declare suggestions, expert review and demonstration, and written solicitation of opinions from relevant departments of the central and state organs. A few days ago, on the basis of absorbing and adopting the opinions and suggestions of all parties, the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security, together with the State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Bureau of Statistics, officially released to the public 19 new occupations such as bioengineering technicians and 28 new types of work such as auto parts sales managers, and adjusted and changed the information of 11 occupations (types of work).
The release of new occupations is of great significance for the development of jobs, the guidance of vocational education and training, the improvement of the quality of employees, and the promotion of employment and entrepreneurship.
