Although today's smart is an electric car, Babos may be thinking of the old relationship with Mercedes-Benz, and still insists on introducing a performance style upgrade for it. And this time, in addition to the power, the active ones are basically moving.

The smart Phantom #1 originally had a Babos version, so the Germany tuning factory simply provided it with a new exterior and interior package. Starting with the aerodynamic package of premium polyurethane, the more prominent front lip is paired with a new bumper air intake trim that Babos says can "significantly reduce lift on the front axle at high speeds", while there is also a larger rear wing at the rear and a new diffuser with the Babos branding logo.
The wheels have been replaced with a 19-inch Monoblock Z alloy version, which is the same size as the original factory. In addition, the Buckos Platinum Edition wheels are in the same style as the alloy version, but with a diameter of 21 inches. The new tyres combine perfectly with the sports springs, resulting in a 35 mm lower ground clearance for the Smart #1 Babos Edition.
In the interior, the Germany tuning house has added a set of illuminated sill strips and aluminium alloy pedals with the brand's logo, and the black velvet floor mats on the floor and trunk have red trim to complement the rest of the Babos trim.
As mentioned at the beginning, this upgrade of Babos does not include power, as it is a Babos model in its own right. The smart #1 Babos Edition has one more front axle motor and exclusive suspension tuning than the regular version, with a total output of 428 hp and 543 Nm of torque, and the two motors deliver a total of 428 ·hp and 543 Nm of torque, breaking 100 in 3.9 seconds. The tram has a 66-degree battery and a cruising range of 400 km at WLTP.
Most of this kit is specific to the Babos version, but there are some parts that can also be fitted in the regular version. To be sure, Babos will also have a similar kit for the Smart Phantom #3 and the upcoming Smart Phantom #5.
To be honest, in the face of such a tragic domestic tram market, smart's presence can be said to be quite low, if it weren't for the popularity of Babos this time, I would have almost forgotten about this brand. It can only be said that thanks to Geely's investment and Mercedes-Benz to operate this brand together, and the transformation of electric cars, otherwise it would not be alive now.
