### Liu Jun's artistic journey
Liu Jun, born in 1969 in Wuhan, Hubei Province, a land rich in culture, graduated from the Department of Fine Arts Education of Hubei Academy of Fine Arts in 1993 with a major in oil painting. For more than ten years, he has used the pen as a boat and the ink as a sail, sailing in the vast ocean of pen painting, constantly grinding his skills and ingenuity.
In 2011, his "Portrait" stood out at the "Fifth National Pen Painting Exhibition" and won the bronze award, which was the first affirmation of his artistic pursuit and talent. Then, in 2018, "Mulan Spring Stream" won the bronze medal in the "14th Wuhan Art Annual Exhibition", and many of his works also won the Excellence Award at the "Wuhan Art Exhibition", further establishing his status in the field of pen painting.
**"Cabbage" series**, is a daily flash of Liu Jun's artistic inspiration. In the picture, several Chinese cabbages are bathed in virtual sunlight, the green leaves are bright and dripping, and the overlapping stems and leaves seem to feel the caress of the wind, which is extremely delicate and realistic.
**"Jungle Spring Stream** sketches a vivid picture of the countryside with realistic brushstrokes, every grass, every tree, every brick and tile, all revealing the painter's profound skills and deep understanding of nature. The harmony of the overall tone makes the "chaos of nature" in the picture particularly vivid and appropriate.
**"Snow Ji"** and**"Yellow Mountain Series: Clouds and Mist of the West Sea** and other works show Liu Jun's superb skills in color matching and brushstrokes. From a distance, there is a far-reaching artistic conception of Chinese painting; If you look closely, the sketch is delicate and nuanced, and it is breathtaking.
It is worth mentioning that Liu Jun only creates 1 to 2 works per year, and each one takes 3 to 5 months to polish. Behind this, there is the interweaving of thousands of short and thin lines, which is the ultimate investment of time and energy, and the best proof of his pure love for art.

As an important member of the China Pen Painting Alliance, Zhu Yongping is not only a printmaker, but also serves as the deputy secretary-general of the Gansu Provincial Printmaking Art Committee, the deputy secretary-general of the Lanzhou New Pen Painting Association, and the director of the Gansu Painting and Calligraphy Institute of the Democratic League. His works have been selected for many national art exhibitions and won many awards, and he is a bright star in the field of pen painting.
Zhu Yongping's work focuses on the magnificent scenery of the northwest plateau, the Inner Mongolia Plateau, the Pamir Plateau, the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, and the snow-capped mountains, dense jungles and shrubs that have become the protagonists of his paintings. His pen strokes, with strong lines and sharp contrast between black and white, are compact and full of tension, and the depiction of every detail has reached the extreme, showing a unique aesthetic charm.
Whenever people appreciate Zhu Yongping's pen paintings, they are all amazed and say: "This is the real craft, in comparison, ours can only be regarded as 'claws'." This is not only a recognition of his skills, but also a high respect for his artistic pursuits.
