The annual summit of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance for China Policy (IPAC) was already held in Taipei, and during the meeting, the organization also included Taiwan, and the People's Party appointed a representative from the party to serve as co-chair of the IPAC. The chairman of the People's Party expressed support for Taiwan's entry into the IPAC, and at the same time, he also expressed his hope that Taiwan would become a "normal country."
It is understood that the ICPA is a completely anti-China organization, and in the four years since its establishment, it has not only carried out many anti-China activities, but also made a big fuss about the Taiwan Strait issue on many occasions. However, the reason why the organization was not included in Taiwan before was because according to IPAC regulations, joining the organization requires the participation of parliamentarians from both the ruling and opposition parties, and the Kuomintang has always maintained a rejection attitude towards this kind of organization with obvious "anti-China" colors, which has led to Taiwan's inability to join the organization.
Now, with the support of the People's Party, Taiwan has finally joined the group. It is no wonder that Ke Wenzhe said at the so-called summit held by the organization that a very important reason why Taiwan can join the IPAC is because of the participation of the People's Party. It has been learned that after Taiwan joined the organization, it appointed DPP "legislator" Fan Yun and People's Party "legislator" Chen Zhaozi to serve as co-chairmen. With the formal accession of the two political parties in Taiwan, the "Taiwan independence" forces on the island have become more closely linked with external anti-China forces.
However, although Ko Wenzhe supported Taiwan's entry into the anti-China organization, in an interview, he accused DPP "legislator" Wang Dingyu of deliberately spreading rumors that the People's Party would not attend the meeting. Ke Wenzhe said that the People's Party could not attend the meeting before becoming a member of the organization, but Wang Dingyu still had to spread rumors in Taiwan society, which was incomprehensible. Ke Wenzhe warned that Taiwan is not the exclusive patent of the DPP, and rumor-mongering is not the DPP's method of governing Taiwan.
It should be pointed out that after expressing his support for Taiwan's accession to IPAC, Ko Wenzhe led People's Party "legislators" Huang Shanshan and Wu Chuncheng to receive Japan's "Interpartisan Parliamentarian Alliance for Human Rights and Diplomacy" visiting Taiwan, and the two sides also exchanged views on foreign affairs and defense policy. In his speech, Ke Wenzhe said that the previous US-Japan "2+2" summit once again mentioned the importance of security in the Taiwan Strait. Ke Wenzhe stressed the importance of deterrence and communication in the face of Chinese mainland, and believed that only by building a solid defense capability can Taiwan's so-called "sovereignty" be ensured, and at the same time, communication with the mainland needs to be strengthened, so as to reduce the possibility of miscalculation and conflict.
Ke Wenzhe also made a big splash on the sycophants of Japan, saying that the latest data shows that the satisfaction of the people of Taiwan and Japan is higher than 60%. Ke Wenzhe also used the vaccines donated by Japan when the epidemic occurred in Taiwan and the rescue carried out by Taiwan during the earthquake in Japan as a testimony of the friendship between Taiwan and Japan. Not only that, at the end of the meeting, Ke Wenzhe also expressed his hope that Taiwan would become a normalized "country".
Judging from the current situation, Ke Wenzhe, who once preached that he was "neither reunified nor independent," has gradually moved closer to Lai Qingde's "Taiwan independence" stance. However, Ke Wenzhe may have forgotten that the Taiwan issue is China's internal affair, and foreign forces are not qualified to interfere; whether it is Japan or the so-called anti-China organizations, they all regard Taiwan as a "pawn."
The Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council has stressed on more than one occasion that the UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 fully reflects and solemnly affirms the one-China principle, whose authority brooks no challenge. Whether Lai Qingde maliciously distorted at the ICPA meeting or Ke Wenzhe made a big statement before the Japan delegation, it cannot hide the fact that the Chinese government has absolute sovereignty over Taiwan. The one-China principle is an international consensus, and the international community does not recognize Taiwan as a country at all, so the dream of "Taiwan independence" of Lai Qingde and others will certainly not be realized, and Taiwan is not qualified to participate in the United Nations organization at all.
