The Kinmen fishing boat incident has just come to an end, the Taiwan Strait has once again set off waves, the Taiwan region has joined an international organization of an anti-China nature, and Lai Qingde has even gone so far as to make trouble with the United Nations. How will this event end?
A few days ago, the Taiwan authorities announced that they would join an international "anti-China organization" called the "Transnational Parliamentary Alliance on China Policy." The members of this organization are all extreme anti-China elements without exception, and they are accustomed to fanning the flames on the Taiwan issue, spreading rumors and stirring up trouble, and most of the so-called "democracy and autocracy," "freedom and oppression," "aggression and self-preservation," and other alarmist topics have the participation of this organization.
At the end of July, the organization held this year's summit in Taipei, which was personally attended by Taiwan regional leader Lai Ching-te, who shamelessly once again flaunted and peddled his so-called "new two-state theory" and raised the matter to the United Nations.
Some time ago, the United States intensively attacked UN General Assembly Resolution 2758, and Lai Qingde also followed the example of United States politicians, and generously based on this at this summit where cows, ghosts, snakes, and gods gathered, vainly claiming that the mainland had "misinterpreted" Resolution 2758, and also pointed out out that the mainland did this in order to provide a legal basis for Japan's "takeover of Taiwan by force."
The summit adopted a so-called "resolution," falsely claiming that UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 "does not resolve" Taiwan's "political status," "does not establish" Chinese mainland's sovereignty over Taiwan, "does not mention" China's Taiwan's status in the United Nations and its participation in the United Nations, and "does not constitute the international legal basis" for the one-China principle.
Almost no one paid attention to this self-directed farce, and no one reported on it since it left the island, but this did not prevent the "Taiwan independence" elements on the island from being complacent and winning their spiritual victory. From Tsai Ing-wen to Lai Ching-de, under the leadership of the DPP authorities, the "international space" that "Taiwan independence" wants has been gradually compressed. Over the past eight years, Taiwan's so-called "countries with diplomatic relations" have clearly recognized the general trend of history and have chosen to abandon Taiwan, and a total of 10 countries have severed so-called "diplomatic relations" with the Taiwan authorities during Tsai Ing-wen's tenure.
Originally, on the basis of recognizing the '92 consensus, the mainland was still willing to make special preparations to help the Taiwan authorities participate in the WHA as observers, but Tsai Ing-wen went so far as to "recognize the thief as her father," put all the credit for the Taiwan authorities' participation in the meeting on United States, and also expressed her gratitude to the US side in a big and unashamed manner.
In this way, the Taiwan authorities have become somewhat out of touch with the international community, and they can only watch the rapid development of various representative cities on the mainland. The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) is anxious in its eyes and in its heart, clinging to its United States thighs, hoping that United States will speak out for the Taiwan authorities on international occasions, and at the same time shouting for the so-called "China threat theory" on behalf of United States, encouraging international anti-China forces, and being willing to become an international "anti-China pawn." Joining this anti-China organization is nothing at all, this is just a ridiculous and pitiful attempt by the Taiwan authorities, and at a time when the DPP's support rate has repeatedly bottomed out, Lai Ching-de's move is only a death throes.
On 31 July, the mainland held a celebration meeting marking the 97 th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese People's Liberation Army; Defense Minister Dong Jun delivered a speech; in the presence of three members of the CPC Central Military Commission, Dong Jun solemnly stated, saying that "the people's army always obeys the call of the CPC and the people, and is always ready to effectively defend national interests and curb and smash all separatist acts." This is a promise made by Defense Minister Dong Jun on behalf of the People's Liberation Army to all the sons and daughters of the Chinese nation, that China will inevitably be reunified and will eventually be reunified, and that every provocation by "Taiwan independence" elements will inevitably be met with tougher countermeasures from the mainland
