Paris 1VS1 | Liu Yukun: Shooting is a job, but I'm very talented

Beijing Youth Daily reporter (hereinafter referred to as Beijing Youth Daily): The outside world thinks that you have been in a very hot state in the past six months, breaking world records in a row, etc., what do you think?

Liu Yukun: I think my condition has been okay for the past six months. It may seem hot on the outside, but there are ups and downs. But I think this is also a normal ups and downs, and my state is just normal, not particularly good.

Beijing Youth Daily: Are you nervous before the Olympics?

Liu Yukun: There is a certain amount of nervousness, and it is normal to be nervous within the scope of the Olympic Games, but I think I am okay, and my most nervous moment was at the National Games three years ago. Although many people think that I only hit 9.9 rings in the last serve of the final, maybe I was nervous at the time, but in fact, this is also within the normal range, and the mentality at that time did not change much, it was a normal shot. Before the Olympics, I didn't set any goals for myself, I just did my job.

BQP: Do you get any fun from the job of shooting?

Liu Yukun: It's not fun, haha, it's hard to have fun at work, and this is what I'm good at, and it's also what I'm engaged in.

Beijing Youth Daily: Many people say that after getting the certificate last year, you got more career help, what do you think?

Liu Yukun: I don't deny that there are reasons for this, after getting married, I have heavier responsibilities on my shoulders, I think more about things, and I am no longer self-centered, and at the same time, I feel that I am more indifferent to the final result.

Beijing Youth Daily: Has anything changed after winning the Olympic championship?

Liu Yukun: Nothing has changed, I feel that the only change is that I can go home in first class. Ha ha.

Beiqing Daily: I heard that you have been using domestic shooting clothes, which is different from many players, and you also like to modify shooting clothes by yourself. Let's talk about that.

Liu Yukun: I came into contact with a domestic shooting suit by chance, which was not ideal at first, and I also wore it to complete an international competition - the Chengdu Universiade, and then it was constantly improved, and finally I wore it to the Olympics. I hope that through my strength, domestic shooting suits can get more attention, and only in this way can they be improved faster. I also make some changes to my shooting suit because I think it's the most effective. I'm not a clever man, I'm just a normal spirit. Ha ha.

Beiqing Daily: If you use domestic shooting uniforms, don't you worry about affecting your sports performance?

Liu Yukun: Actually, I don't really attach much importance to sports performance. I didn't have a particularly high result for this pursuit. As an athlete and an assistant coach, I also have to think about the next generation of Olympic athletes, if the domestic shooting uniforms are getting better and better, our athletes will have more and more choices.

Beiqing Daily: Why is this happening at such a young age to hold two positions?

Liu Yukun: I naturally wear two hats, haha, but when I am a coach, I don't have a player, and now I am actually a player. But I think I'm going to be a coach in the future, and I'm going to change little by little.

Beiqing Daily: Aren't you tired of shooting all your life haha?

Liu Yukun: It's very tireful, but it's also about life. I think this job is the best fit for me. I also have a strong talent for this. If I had to do other jobs, I would have to re-learn. So naturally I stayed here haha.

Beiqing Daily: Tell me how you got on the shooting path, right?

Liu Yukun: When I was in middle school, the local coaches went to our school to select people, that is, to find students of the right age to participate in the re-examination in the team, so I went to try it, I think it is easier to practice, and I feel slightly better than others to lift a gun. In this way, he gradually embarked on the path of shooting, and to this day.
