Tariff Exemption | Tariffs on feed raw material products

On July 23, 2024, the Customs Tariff Commission (SCTC) of the State Council announced the 15th Extension List of Exclusions for Commodities Subject to Additional Tariffs to the United States, announcing that the tariff exemption period for 95 commodities, including whey for feed, fishmeal and alfalfa for feed, and shrimp for farming, will be extended to February 28, 2025. The tariff exclusion for these products was originally scheduled to end on July 31, 2024, which is the 15th time that the mainland has extended the tariff exclusion period for these goods.

List of agricultural products involved

The 15th Extension List of Goods Subject to Additional Tariffs on the United States lists some of the agricultural products exempted from tariffs and their customs codes, including but not limited to:

03063610 Other small shrimp and prawn seedlings

04041000 Whey for feed (protein content 2%-7%, lactose content 76%-88% by weight)

12141000 Alfalfa semolina

12149000 Other Alfalfa (except coarse powder and agglomerates)

23012010 Fishmeal for feed
