In the summer, I don't like to blow air conditioners, so my studio is a little hotter. I paint watermelons just to cool off, and sometimes I also paint fruits such as lychees, cherries, strawberries, etc., but I seem to have a soft spot for watermelons, and I paint the most.
The watermelons in the painting are bigger than people, like hills, and like small houses, people are eating melons to their heart's content, and they don't have to worry about holding their stomachs, which is really an ideal world for foodies!
As I painted, I began to think about the transformation of watermelon seeds, watermelon pulps, watermelon skins and other things in our lives, and the seeds could be raindrops, the pulp could be clouds, and the skin of melons could be the coat of many things...... It's like "everything can be melon".
In addition to a glimpse of the dreams of the watermelon he ate, this little book also carefully selected the summers lived by Tao Yuanming, Wang Wei, Li Bai, Bai Juyi, Su Shi, Lu You, Zhu Yunming, Yuan Mei and other ancients. These classical poems and folk songs are all born in summer, some are hot and distressed, some are refreshing and comfortable, and they are arranged in order with reference to the changes of solar terms. Because I feel that the computer font is still a shortcoming, so I used a brush to casually copy the content of each poem I liked, although it is not working, but it also seems to be in line with the sense of upside down and erratic dreams. The seeker is interested, so there is no formality.
