On the evening of August 4, the 37th Popular Film Hundred Flowers Award Ceremony was held in Chengdu. A total of 15 films have been nominated for various awards, showcasing the latest creative achievements of Chinese films.

That night, the final evaluation committee composed of 101 audience judges from all over the country voted on the spot and selected the 9 major awards of this year's Hundred Flowers Award. In the end, "Volunteers: Heroes Attack" won the Best Film Award, "Thirty Thousand Miles of Chang'an" won the Outstanding Film Award, Dong Runnian and Ying Luojia won the Best Film Award with the script "The Annual Meeting Can't Stop!" won the Best Screenplay Award, Zhang Yimou won the Best Director Award for "Article 20", Zhu Yilong and Ma Li won the Best Actor Award and Best Actress Award respectively for their wonderful performances in the movie "Life Events" and "Article 20", Li Xuejian and Zhao Liying won the Best Supporting Actor Award and Best Supporting Actress Award respectively for their outstanding performances in the movie "Fengshen Part 1: Chao Song Fengyun" and "Article 20", and Yu Shi won the Best Newcomer Award for his role in the movie "Fengshen Part 1: Chao Song Fengyun".
Li Xuejian won the Hundred Flowers Award for Best Supporting Actor.

Founded in 1962, the Hundred Flowers Award for Popular Films is the oldest and most important award in the Chinese film industry. This year's Hundred Flowers Award was jointly sponsored by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the China Film Association, the Propaganda Department of the Sichuan Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China, and the Chengdu Municipal People's Government.
