Moderate rain, torrential rain, and thundershowers take turns, and the temperature has indeed cooled down a lot in the past week! But next, the hot sauna days in Guangdong are back strongly, and it is expected that there will be 2 to 3 more typhoons in August!
In July, the average temperature on the mainland reached 23.21°C, surpassing July 2017 (23.17°C) and becoming the hottest July since full observations began in 1961.
On the first day of August, Lei Yujun was not as active as the "business" at the end of July, the range of activities was scattered, and where it did not rain, the high temperature began to rise again, and the highest temperature of the day in Meizhou, Yunfu and other places had gone straight to 35 °C.
At the same time, a protracted heat war is underway, and the mainland presents a weather pattern of "steaming in the east and roasting in the west".
On August 2, the range of high temperature centered on Jiangsu and Zhejiang continued to expand, and some places in Jiangsu, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Fujian, central and northern Jiangxi, eastern Hunan, southern Anhui, southwestern Hubei, southeastern Sichuan and central Xinjiang were still extremely hot and prone to heat stroke.
It is expected that in the next few days, with the strong control of the sub-high boss, the thunderstorm in Guangdong will be further weakened, and the high temperature will change from rising to "rampant", which is a familiar taste of midsummer.
Looking forward to next Monday, the subtropical high ridge line will further expand to the west, most of Guangdong will be sunny and hot, and the high temperature will be more "arrogant", and Guangdong will usher in a wide range of high temperature weather.
According to @GuangdongWeather, there may be persistent high temperature weather in Guangdong this month, and there may be 3 large-scale high temperature processes, which will roughly appear on August 4~10, 18~22, and 25~27.
There will be 2-3 typhoons affecting the mainland in August
When the heat is high, do you miss the coolness of a typhoon day? The August typhoon "schedule" is here↓↓↓
At a press conference held by the China Meteorological Administration in August, Zhang Jiancheng, deputy director of the National Meteorological Center, said that there will be three to four typhoons in the northwest Pacific and the South China Sea in August, which is less than the average for the same period of the year. Among them, 2 to 3 typhoons will make landfall on the mainland, and the typhoon will move mainly to the west and northwest, mainly affecting the coasts of South China and East China, and there may be northward typhoons affecting the areas north of the Yangtze River.
Overall, the number and intensity of typhoons that made landfall in August may be close to normal, but it is not excluded that a typhoon of the magnitude of "Gemei" will affect the mainland.
Since the end of this week, Guicheng has entered a continuous high temperature mode
According to the August climate trend forecast released by the Shunde District Meteorological Observatory and the Sanshui District Meteorological Observatory, it is expected that the monthly average temperature in Foshan this month will be higher than usual, the monthly sunshine hours will be less than usual, and the monthly cumulative rainfall will be more than usual.
There may be 4 significant rainfall processes in Foshan, which generally appear on the 11th~13th (heavy rain, local heavy rain), 15~17 (moderate to heavy rain, local heavy rain), 21~23 (moderate to heavy rain, local heavy rain), 26~30 days (heavy rain, local heavy rain).
At present, the yellow warning signal for high temperature in the South China Sea is in effect. According to @南海Weather Projection, the weather in the Nanhai District is expected to be hot in the coming week, with a maximum temperature of 35°C or above.
Future weather in the South China Sea
5 August, partly cloudy, 29-36°C;
August 6, sunny to cloudy, 29-37°C;
On 7 August, it was sunny to cloudy, 29-37°C.
When the hot weather is coming, the neighbors should pay attention to heatstroke and sun protection, and replenish water in time!
