A few days ago, Yangpu District Youth Science and Technology Station organized primary and secondary school students to carry out the activity of "Automobile Dreamers - Yangpu Youth Automobile Science and Technology Exploration Tour".
After listening to the introduction of the basic concept, development status and future trend of intelligent driving cars by professional teachers, the students felt the layout of intelligent driving black technology at zero distance, test ride smart cars, understand intelligent driving technology and battery swap technology.
"Driverless, it's amazing! It turned out that the vehicle was equipped with a variety of radars that mimicked the biological principles of bats to perceive the surrounding environment and avoid obstacles, which made me understand the importance of technology. In the afternoon, the teenagers went to the Shanghai Automobile Museum. The museum has a collection of many domestic automobiles and antique automobiles with historical and cultural value, vividly demonstrating the changes in the development of the automobile industry. There are areas such as the History Museum on the first floor, the Collection Hall on the second floor, and the Technology Museum on the third floor, which stimulate students' interest in exploring automotive technology.
Kong Haochen, Pingliang Road No. 3 Primary School, Yangpu District, Shanghai, said: "I deeply feel the charm and challenges of automobile manufacturing. The car is not only a means of transportation, but also a fusion of culture and technology. At the same time, I also realized the importance of industrial manufacturing to society and the economy. ”
During this automotive technology exploration trip, the students also went to Pudong Lingang to explore the leading companies in the field of autonomous driving business. Senior experts from the enterprise combine specific intelligent driving scenarios and use industry-leading full-stack self-developed intelligent driving technology to enable students to deeply learn the principles and applications of intelligent travel fields and intelligent travel technologies.
Subsequently, the students came to the test site and climbed onto the unmanned smart heavy truck to experience a unique driving journey. The students had an in-depth understanding of the application of intelligent driving in life and work, and couldn't help but feel that the smart city of the future seems to be within reach and is getting closer and closer to our lives. Zhu Yichen from the Experimental Junior High School Affiliated to the University of Shanghai for Science and Technology said: "All progress is achieved through innovation and practice, and the moment the driver turns on the automatic driving button, he is full of power, and I deeply feel the power of science and technology." ”
The students came to the SAIC Lingang Passenger Car Factory and walked into the steel forest, where professional engineers led the teenagers to have an in-depth understanding of the manufacturing process of automobiles. In the assembly workshop, the students saw the orderly vehicle assembly line and saw that the automated robots were busy working; In the engine manufacturing workshop, the students saw sophisticated engine models and advanced engine technology, and learned about the ingenious engine manufacturing process.
In addition, Yang Shanwei, an engineer from the Manufacturing Engineering Department of SAIC Passenger Car Branch, a national youth post expert, the winner of the Shanghai Youth May Fourth Medal, and a special lecture on "Walking into the Automobile Model" was given to the students. After listening to the lecture, the students understood that automobile manufacturing is a complex and delicate process, and high-quality cars are inseparable from high-quality manufacturing.
In this journey, the teenagers not only learned about the history of automobile development, but also learned the knowledge of automobile science, experienced the cutting-edge technology of automobiles, and realized the spirit of labor, research, innovation and craftsmanship. He also recognized the many challenges that automobile manufacturing is facing, and realized that the design of automobiles is not achieved overnight, but requires many innovations, designs, experiments, and daily efforts of automotive R&D personnel.
