Amber Warning for Heavy Rain and Severe Convection
Under the combined influence of the subtropical high and the westerly trough, the province needs to pay attention to the heavy rain and heavy rain in northern Shaanxi and northern Guanzhong from today afternoon to tomorrow, and at the same time pay close attention to the strong convective weather in some areas of Yulin, Yan'an and northern Guanzhong, there will be thunderstorms and local 8~10 (17~25 m/s) thunderstorms with strong winds, hail and short-term heavy precipitation. This round of weather process is extremely extreme and catastrophic, so relevant cities and relevant departments should attach great importance to it, dispatch it in advance, preset precautions, and upgrade the response if necessary.
It is expected that from 11 o'clock on August 6 to 11 o'clock on the 7th (the next 24 hours), there will be heavy rain (25~50 mm) in central and southern Yulin, Yan'an, Tongchuan, northern Xianyang, and northern Weinan. Among them, the western and southeastern parts of Yulin (the western part of Hengshan District, Dingbian, Jingbian, the eastern part of Suide, the southern part of Jiaxian, Wubao, Qingjian), most of Yan'an (Baota District, Ansai District, the western part of Huangling, Huanglong, the western part of Fuxian, Wuqi, Zhidan, Zichang, Yanchang), the northern part of Xianyang (Xunyi), Tongchuan (Yintai District, Yijun), the northern part of Weinan (Hancheng, Heyang, Pucheng, Fuping, Baishui) have heavy rain (50~100 mm), the western part of Yulin (Dingbian, Jingbian), the western part of Yan'an (Wuqi, the northern part of Zhidan, western Ansai) with heavy rain (100~150 mm) (Figure 1). Due to the strong convection of precipitation, there is a certain uncertainty in the falling area, and the above-mentioned adjacent counties and districts also need to pay close attention.
Flooding of small and medium-sized rivers: It is expected that in the next 24 hours, the surface rainfall of the Yellow River and its sub-basins such as Beiluo River, Wuding River, Kuye River, Jingwei River and other rivers in our province will be 10~40 mm; Affected by continuous precipitation, it is expected that the surface rainfall in the sub-basins of Beiluo River, Wuding River, Kuye River and Jingwei River will reach 60-120 mm in the next three days.
At the same time, it is expected that from 11 o'clock on August 6 to 11 o'clock on the 7th (the next 24 hours), there will be thunderstorms in most parts of the province, thunderstorms and strong winds in northern Shaanxi, and short-term heavy rain in Yulin, most of Yan'an, and northern Guanzhong, with a maximum hourly rain intensity of 20~50 mm/h, and a local area of 60~80 mm/h (Figure 2).
In addition, the heavy precipitation process will continue until the 9th, and it is expected that most of northern Shaanxi will have heavy to heavy rain and local heavy rain on the 7th-9th, moderate to heavy rain and local heavy rain in central and western Guanzhong and western Shaanxi, and light to moderate rain and local heavy rain in eastern Guanzhong and eastern Shaanxi.
It is necessary to focus on preventing secondary derivative disasters such as urban waterlogging, mountain floods, small and medium-sized river floods, landslides, debris flows, and collapses in the gully areas of the Loess Plateau in northern Shaanxi, silt dams, heavy rainstorms and floods in the Shaanxi section of the Yellow River Basin and the Weihe River Basin and continuous heavy precipitation. Governments at all levels, departments and industries are requested to make emergency preparations in advance, and take preset and decisive measures to prevent adverse effects on silt dams, transportation (rail transit), urban and rural drainage, tourism, homestays, outdoor amusement facilities, transmission lines, agricultural facilities, aerial work, construction operations, underground operations, mines, etc.
Due to the uncertainty of the position and intensity adjustment of the subtropical high, and the convective weather has the characteristics of strong locality and suddenness, and the rainstorm and strong convective weather fall area still has a certain adjustment, the areas adjacent to the above-mentioned districts and counties should also make preparations for coping, please pay attention to the short-term nowcasting warning information issued by the 73161 progressive mechanism of the local meteorological department in time.
