Recently, a giant "pigeon" has settled in the High Line of Manhattan, New York! In fact, it is a 16-foot-tall sculpture called Dinosaur by Colombian artist and filmmaker Iván Argote.
As the unofficial mascot of New York, Iván Argote wanted to reinterpret the image of the pigeon, which he felt was "an iconic animal, or at least an icon of New York, but still a fringe creature that lives in a dirty corner."
Pigeons sometimes do human behaviors, such as riding the subway, so he thinks people can recognize themselves by the creature. "I felt that this sculpture could create an incredible sense of attraction, seduction and fear among the people of New York," he said.
