On September 6, the Jinshan District Aquatic Industry Vocational Skills Competition was officially launched, aiming to accelerate the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy, continuously improve the agricultural production skills and innovation ability of farmers in our district, and accelerate the training and selection of high-skilled talents in the aquatic industry. A total of 34 players from 10 teams in the region participated in the competition.
It is reported that the skills competition, as an important starting point for strengthening the construction of aquatic skilled talents, should focus on the strategic goal of rural revitalization, and closely follow the new development requirements of "improving quality and efficiency, reducing quantity and increasing income, green development, and enriching fishermen". Through the competition, the theory is turned into practice, the professional skills of technical personnel in the aquatic industry are improved, and the transformation and upgrading of the aquaculture industry in Jinshan District and the green and high-quality development are empowered.
The skills competition is mainly for the vast number of agricultural and rural skilled talents engaged in the aquatic industry in the district and the front-line workers of agriculture-related enterprises and institutions. Contestants compete in the form of "theoretical examination + skill competition", which involves basic knowledge of aquatic products, relevant laws and regulations, technical specifications and technical standards, and the skills competition includes three items: identification of common fish and shrimp species, water sample testing, and dissection of giant river prawn.
During the competition, the contestants showed their housekeeping skills, showed excellent business ability, reflected solid professional basic skills, and showed a rigorous operation level. After fierce competition, the competition awarded the first, second and third prizes of individuals and groups.
According to the organizers, this competition has built a platform for the majority of front-line aquaculture technicians to show their skills, test their skills and learn from each other, which has played a positive role in promoting the cultivation of high-quality and skilled talents in the aquatic industry in our region, and further strengthened the grassroots talent team.
