In this world, there is no disagreement about which animal everyone hates, and that must be mosquitoes

What is dengue fever?
Dengue fever is an acute insect-borne infectious disease caused by dengue virus, which is a notifiable infectious disease in mainland China. Because of the severe pain, it is also known as "broken bone fever".
The peak season of dengue fever is summer and autumn, and the epidemic season is mainly from May to November, with a peak from August to October. The incubation period is generally 1 day to 14 days, and most often 5 to 9 days.
People of all ages are generally susceptible, and people with chronic diseases, the elderly, infants, and pregnant women are at higher risk of severe disease after infection.
How do mosquitoes transmit dengue fever?
There are many species of mosquitoes, but not all mosquitoes can transmit dengue fever, and dengue fever is mainly transmitted by Aedes mosquitoes.
Aedes mosquito is a mosquito with white stripes on its body and feet, commonly known as "flower mosquito" and "flower foot mosquito". Dengue fever is mainly transmitted on the continent by Aedes albopictus and Aedes Egypt.
【Aedes albopictus】
Aedes albopictus is a ubiquitous mosquito species in mainland China and mainly inhabits near breeding sites.
◆Indoor: tend to stay on the wall, under the table, chair and bed, hanging clothes, etc.
◆ Outdoor: dark and sheltered places, such as the inner walls of various cylinders, cans, tree holes, bamboo tubes, and even discarded tires, broken bowls, rotten dishes, and stagnant water in small potholes on the construction site.
Aedes albopictus mainly bites outdoors, with peak bites around sunrise and before sunset.
【Egypt Aedes mosquito】The Egyptian Aedes mosquito is a typical "house mosquito" that prefers to stay indoors and will actively suck blood throughout the day.
They mainly inhabit indoor sheltered and shady places, such as the foot of the water tank, behind the cupboard, under the bed in the bedroom, the corner of the wall, the mosquito net, etc., and the black clothes with sweat stains hanging are the places they like to hide.
It is transmitted by the bite of Aedes mosquito and is not directly transmitted from person to person. Aedes mosquitoes transmit dengue fever through "sick → Aedes → others", that is, after the Aedes mosquito bites a dengue patient or a person with latent infection, the virus replicates in large numbers in the mosquito, and when it bites other healthy people, it transmits the virus to him.
What are the symptoms of dengue fever?
The typical symptoms of dengue fever are "high fever, three pains, three reds" + rash.
High fever: sudden high fever, body temperature can reach more than 40 °C within 24 hours, can be accompanied by chills, generally lasting 3 to 7 days.
Three pains: severe headache, orbital pain, musculoskeletal joint pain. Three reds: face red, neck red, chest red.
Rash: congestive rash or punctate hemorrhagic rash on the trunk or head and face of the limbs, generally appears in 3~6 days of onset and lasts for 3~5 days, and there is no desquamation or pigmentation after the rash recedes.
There is no specific drug for the treatment of dengue fever, and there is no vaccine to prevent it, if it is not treated in time, it will become severe, and it can die due to the failure of important organs, with a fatality rate of more than 20%.
However, it can be seen from the symptoms that dengue fever can be easily confused with a cold in the early stages, so it is important to recognize and treat it as early as possible.
If the above symptoms appear, it is necessary to seek medical attention in time for active diagnosis and treatment.
✲ People who have stayed in dengue-affected areas within 2 weeks, or who have confirmed cases in the cities where they are active, should pay special attention.
How can I prevent dengue fever?
(1) Turn over pots and cans, and clean up stagnant water frequently
Keep your living environment clean and dry. The growth and reproduction of mosquitoes are inseparable from water, and without stagnant water, the lifeline of mosquitoes will be broken.
Regularly "turn over pots and cans" to clean up stagnant water in the home and surrounding environment, such as flower pots, buckets, waste tires, etc., and change the water of aquatic plants regularly or recommend changing to soil culture.
(2) Mosquito prevention and control, equipment in place
Install screens on windows and doorways, hang mosquito nets when sleeping, and always prepare mosquito repellent and mosquito repellent equipment such as mosquito coils, mosquito repellents, and electric mosquito swatters.
When outdoors, wear light-coloured, long-sleeved clothing and long pants as much as possible, and apply insect repellent to exposed skin and clothing.
(3) Reduce exposure during high-risk periods
Avoid staying in shade of trees, grass, gazebos and other outdoor shady places during the frequent mosquito infestation hours (7~9 am and 4~6 pm).
(4) Exit the province, mosquito prevention throughout the process
Before traveling, find out whether the local area is a dengue fever epidemic area, fully prepare for mosquito prevention, and prevent mosquitoes throughout the whole process during the tour, if there are suspected symptoms such as "heat, pain, redness, rash", etc., you must seek medical attention in time.
Strictly prevent dengue fever and remind more people
