If it's India......
There was an unbelievable incident in Telangana where a man died after being bitten by a cobra in his mouth, yes, by his mouth. According to authoritative media India Today, the deceased was 20-year-old Shivraj, who and his father made a living by catching snakes.
On September 4, they caught a cobra in the field of Desipet village in Kamareddy district of Telangana, and Shifraj offered his father to shoot a video of him holding the snake in his mouth. Shivaraj thought it was a good idea to attract a lot of attention and maybe add a lot of followers to his account, so he didn't hesitate to shove the cobra into his mouth, bite its head, and smile at the camera. His father would have agreed to such an absurd idea.
Videos circulating on social media can be seen Shifraj standing in the middle of the road with his hands folded and smiling at the camera. In the next minute-long video, Shifraghi combs his hair with his hands, presumably to show off his hand, while the snake writhes to break free. At the end of the video, Shifraj points to the sky with his index finger and then clenches his fist as if he is doing something very hot.
Sure enough, this incident not only didn't make his blood warm, but also made his blood cold.
Later that day, Shifraj went to the local hospital for help with apparent snake venom poisoning, but he was unable to survive because of the rapid rate of snake venom invasion. It is estimated that the cobra bit its tongue or something when it was in its mouth, and judging from the video of Shifraj, he was obviously too excited to notice it.
Afterwards, the media interviewed his relatives, and the relatives said that there was no other statement, that is, Shifraghi wanted to earn traffic on the Internet, but he got away with it, and it was as simple as that.
If it's in India, it seems reasonable. It seems a bit discriminatory for me to say this, but there are too many outrageous news in India recently, and if you look up a little bit about the bad things that have happened in India recently, you will find that this incident is relatively light.
How did netizens react?
In fact, even if Shifraj did not die, his behavior would only attract a lot of scolding instead of fans, and black and red also depended on the degree, such as this kind of suicidal rotten work will only be sprayed, because basically it will not cause controversy from many parties, and everyone will think that he has a brain problem.
The video sparked outrage among social media users, with many questioning why the man put the cobra in his mouth, arguing that he had done a bad example and that if he survived, it might have attracted others to follow suit; Others told him RIP that his death would be a warning; Others were shocked that his father had agreed to such a job.
In any case, he is already dead. But to be honest, it is estimated that there is no warning effect, and most people will stuff the tongue of the highly venomous cobra into their mouths to shoot videos.
Cobra venom
Judging from the video and the location of the incident, this should be the India cobra. The body length of adult India cobras can reach 1.35-1.7 meters, and large individuals can even reach 2 meters, and the snake that Shifraj bites is estimated to be 1.5-1.6 meters, which must be an adult individual, so the amount of venom released by each bite will be amazing.
The venom of the cobra in India is a strong neurotoxin, this toxin will quickly attack the nervous system, but the wound is not painful, so the bitten person is sometimes blunt and really can't find it, such as Shivraj. This neurotoxin attacks nerves in vital organs, including the heart and muscles, and when the nerves are cut off, the poisoned person may cause muscle paralysis, suffocation due to the failure of the diaphragm to work, and cardiac arrest.
If the bite is to a relatively less protected organ such as the tongue, the venom will penetrate twice as quickly, causing it to die quickly.
It is worth mentioning that the India cobra is highly respected in India mythology and culture and is a common old buddy of snake dancers. But this cobra is clearly not treated with the respect it deserves.
