The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a typhoon red warning at 06 o'clock on September 16: this year's No. 13 typhoon "Bebinca" has been strengthened from a typhoon to a strong typhoon in the early morning of today (16th), and its center is located about 125 kilometers southeast of Shanghai at 5 o'clock in the morning, which is 30.7 degrees north latitude and 122.5 degrees east longitude, with a maximum wind force of 14 (45 m/s) near the center, a minimum pressure of 955 hPa at the center, and a radius of 180-200 kilometers in the seven-level wind circle. The radius of the ten-level wind circle is 70-100 kilometers, and the radius of the twelve-level wind circle is 40 kilometers.
It is expected that "Bebinca" will move west-northward at a speed of about 25 kilometers per hour, and will make landfall along the coast from Pudong to Fengxian in Shanghai this morning to this morning (strong typhoon scale, 14 magnitude, 42-45 m/s), setting a new record for the intensity of a typhoon that has landed in Shanghai since 1949. After landfall, it continued to move west-northwards and gradually weakened in intensity.
Gale forecast: From 08:00 on September 16 to 08:00 on the 17th, there will be 6-8 gales with gusts of 9-10 in the southern Yellow Sea, western East China Sea, northern Zhejiang, central and southern Jiangsu, and eastern Anhui, and 9-11 and gusts in the waters near the North East China Sea, Shanghai and its coast, southeastern Jiangsu and its coast, northeast Zhejiang and its coast, Hangzhou Bay, Yangtze River estuary area, and Zhoushan Islands.
