Recently, Apple released the official version of iOS 18, I believe that many users have upgraded, but after the upgrade, many friends have reported to me, saying that although the iOS 18 system has many new features, its photo album is too ugly, or want to go back to the original system, and ask iOS 18 how to downgrade.
In fact, the question about iOS 18 albums has also been on the hot search recently, those who want to use the iOS 18 system can open the album and slide to the bottom, click "Customize & Reorder", and then hide or sort the items that are not used often, and let it show the items you use frequently.
For those who don't want to use iOS 18, the easiest way is to downgrade, the current downgrade system is iOS 17.6.1 or iOS 17.7, Apple will close the verification channel of these two systems, and users will not be able to downgrade to this version.
The tools required for downgrading are a computer (windows or Mac) and a data cable, preferably the original cable or MFi certification, the mobile phone cannot be downgraded, and the computer needs to install AISI Assistant.
Note: Downgrading will cause data loss on your device, if you have important data, be sure to back up your data before downgrading.
After the preparation is done, the mobile phone needs to be connected to the computer, and at the same time, open the AISI assistant on the computer, find and click "Smart Flash", then select the firmware that can be downloaded inside, and click "Flash Now" after the download is completed.
Note that do not check the "Keep user data to flash" next to it, as this will cause the downgrade to fail.
If you encounter the prompt of "Error, unable to restore the device (-2)" during the downgrade process, then you need to enter the "Toolbox" in the AISI assistant, and then click "Re-repair" and restart the computer.
If the prompt is "Error, the device cannot be restored (-26)", then it is caused by retaining data and flashing, we just need to select "Regular Quick Flash".
In addition, if the iPhone memory is full and there is a white apple problem, there may be an error message when restoring through iTunes, you can try to check the Keep data to recover.
Finally, I would like to remind you that major iOS system updates must be upgraded cautiously, especially for old devices.
