Israel's intelligence services have carried out a series of pager and walkie-talkie explosions in Lebanon, which not only caused huge casualties, but also seriously undermined the world's confidence in Western communication products.
What is even more unexpected is that Israel's riotous operations may also contribute a new definition to the history of human language, that is, "lithium bombs".
It should be pointed out here that the term "lithium bomb" that has recently appeared in the media of various countries is not only a new word born in linguistics, but also a subversive conceptual definition. A few decades ago, the term "lithium bomb" was in some cases a loose term for some hydrogen bombs (not yet a formal term) because the latter used lithium deuteride as a fusion material. However, the Israel authorities have turned lithium battery products into explosives, almost canceling out the possibility of using "lithium bomb" to define hydrogen bombs, and it is more likely that "lithium bombs" will become a formal term as the concept of "explosives disguised with lithium battery electronics".
How can it become a new term in linguistics? That is, the crowd forms a unified conceptual perception of a new thing, so that this thing becomes an entity or category that exists independently of anything else.
It is obvious that the series of bombings of communication products in Lebanon is a completely new event in the history of the world and has completely refreshed the understanding of all mankind. No one had ever imagined that tens of thousands of civilian communication products would be planted with explosives and suddenly explode in everyday life without warning, causing mass casualties of thousands of people, and even electric clippers used for haircuts could kill people.
The only thing that these "explosive pagers", "explosive walkie-talkies", "explosive electric faders", etc., have in common is that the batteries are bound with explosives or fuses, especially the lithium batteries contribute to the explosion power. This is also the origin of the name "lithium bomb", in fact, lithium batteries are innocent, but Israel intelligence agencies deliberately used lithium battery products as a tool for terrorist explosions.
Here, we can review a series of munitions named after the elements, such as iron, lead, tin, copper, silver, etc., which have appeared in history, as well as tungsten bullets, magnesium (hot) bombs, aluminum (hot) bombs, hydrogen bombs, etc., which have appeared in modern times, as well as the notorious (poor) uranium bombs and cobalt bombs.
It can be said that the later such terms appear, the more abhorrent they become, especially depleted uranium and cobalt bombs, which are extremely harmful to radiation. The "lithium bomb" does not seem to have escaped this law of "the later it appears, the more it is hated".
We know that lithium, as a raw material for batteries, is already an indispensable thing in life in today's world, involving almost every aspect of our life and work. Not only pagers, walkie-talkies, mobile phones, laptops and other personal electronic products contain lithium batteries, but a large number of cars, bicycles and other means of transportation are also completely combined with lithium batteries, but under the operation of terrorist forces in some Western countries, these highly popular new generation of civilian products have been buried with extremely dangerous hidden dangers.
In fact, these are only the surface results, and the deeper impact is that the Middle East has comprehensively questioned the safety of Western electronic products, and Saudi Arabia, Iran and other countries have even begun to replace Western electronic products on a large scale and replace them with similar products in Dongda, which almost "lying" took away a large part of Western products in the Middle East market. It is also rare in history for the pattern of world trade to change abruptly overnight.
It can be said that the bombing operation operated by Israel not only refreshed the historical bottom line of terrorist acts, but also changed the development trend of human society to a certain extent, just as the "911 terrorist attack" not only changed people's perception of the safety of civilian passenger aircraft, but also greatly reversed the behavior and consumption habits of many people, and even changed the laws, regulations and even customs of some countries.
Therefore, the "BP bombing" incident concocted by Israel will forever go down in the annals of human history in a disgraceful way, and is likely to have a far-reaching impact on world trade, industrial pattern, sociology, linguistics, and other aspects, and the birth of the term "lithium bomb" is just one example.
