After the end of the English Open, the main stage of the 2024 United Kingdom Open, which will be played closely together, will start today, September 23 at 8 p.m. Beijing time.
1. Signings and Fixtures
The United Kingdom Open is drawn randomly for each round, so there is no standard draw form.
The top 16 players all signed up, and all of them started from the top 128. Because of the random draw, there was no seeding pick, and this year two more TOP16 players bumped into each other in the first round, Little Steel Cannon Allen and Brother Wilson. Last year it was Ding Junhui and Luca (Ding Junhui won 4-3).
In the qualifying stage that ended earlier, 21 Chinese players played, and a total of 12 qualified, including: Si Jiahui, Zhou Yuelong, Lv Haotian, Xiao Guodong, Wu Yize, Yuan Sijun, Tian Pengfei, Xu Si, Fu Jiajun, Long Zehuang, Ma Hailong and Zhang Jiawei. The qualifying rounds of Ding Junhui, Zhang Anda, Pang Junxu and Gong Chenzhi were postponed to the main stage.
The first day of the main stage is a postponed qualifier for the top 16 seeded players (except Ryan Day). The relevant matchups and fixtures are as follows:

2. Format and prize arrangement
There was a slight increase in prize money for the round of 32 and the round of 16, both £1,000 more than last year, with the rest of the rounds unchanged. The total prize fund has also increased from £478,000 last year to £502,000.
The specific bonus arrangement is as follows:
Champion: £100,000;
Runner-up: £45,000;
Semifinals: £20,000;
Quarterfinals: £12,000;
Round of 16: £9000;
Round of 32: £6000;
Round of 64: £3000;
The highest prize for a single stroke is £5,000 (the main round and qualifying rounds combined).
Total prize pool: £478,000.
The format is still the same as last year, before the quarterfinals, all 7 games won 4; quarterfinals, 9 games and 5 wins; Semi-finals, 6 wins of 11 games; Finals, 10 wins out of 19 sets.
