Fast Technology reported on September 29 that at present, various AIC manufacturers have successively received relevant information from NVIDIA, RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 have officially entered the opening stage, that is, manufacturers have begun to design their own product solutions.
Barring any surprises, both the RTX 5090/5080 will be officially announced at CES 2025 early next year, and the RTX 50 Series Mobile will also be seen at that time.
Add to that Intel Arrow Lake Core Ultra 200 series desktop mainstream and mobile processors, possible second-generation Arc B-series discrete graphics, AMD Strix Halo/Krackan APU mobile processors – this CES is going to be a buzzing one.
In terms of specifications, the RTX 5090 will use a 14-layer PCB design, the flagship chip numbered GB202-300-A1, with up to 21,760 CUDA cores, which is a full 33% increase compared to the RTX 4090.
The video memory is upgraded to 512-bit 32GB GDDR7, which increases both bit width and capacity by 50%, but the specific core and video memory frequency are not known for the time being.
The power consumption of the whole TGP card will reach 600W, an increase of 1/3, and it is still air-cooled.
At least for now, the power supply interface is still a single 12V-2x6 16-pin, I don't know if it will be changed to two as rumored in the future, and the theoretical output power can reach 1200W.
The core number of the RTX 5080 is GB203-400-A1, and the number of CUDA cores is 10,752, which is only 10.5% more than the RTX 4080 and slightly higher than the RTX 4080 SUPER.
The video memory is paired with 256-bit 16GB GDDR7, except that the update is the same as the RTX 4080.
However, it is also said that the RTX 5080 will add a 24GB video memory version in the later stage, which will be achieved by replacing it with eight 3GB GDDR7s.
The power consumption of the whole card is 300W, which is 20W less than that of RTX 4080, and it is naturally a single 16-pin power supply.
In addition, the RTX 50 series will support PCIe 5.0 for the first time, as well as full DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20.
