Lu Weijun: I "accelerate" the train

On October 1st, looking at the trains coming from south to north outside the window, galloping on the thousand-mile Beijing-Guangzhou railway line, Lu Weijun, secretary of the party branch of the Xuchang workshop on duty, came up with the scene of replacing the speed-up turnout during the second phase of the Beijing-Guangzhou line that had just ended before the National Day.

"A week ago, at Xiaoshangqiao Station, the shouts of hundreds of workers from public works, electricity, power supply and other units were intertwined with the roar of all kinds of large construction machinery, which was really lively and spectacular." Lu Weijun sighed. In order to ensure the safety of the holiday line transportation, Lu Weijun and his colleagues rushed to complete the replacement of the No. 2 turnout switch equipment at Xiaoshangqiao Station on the eve of the holiday.

At 11:40 on September 24, with the end of construction, Lu Weijun walked out of the protective net with a realistic book in his hand, which recorded the construction of the day. Although the construction lasted for 4 hours, he did not feel tired, because the current work tools have been mechanized, electrified, and intelligent, and the operation efficiency has been doubled. In the eyes of Lu Weijun, this is the result of the development of new quality productivity of the railway, and it is also a symbol of the happiness of railway people in the new era.

For Lu Weijun, he is very familiar with each set of turnouts at Xiaoshangqiao Station, because this place used to be his highlight moment.

From October 2006 to January 2007, on the eve of the implementation of the sixth national railway speed-up, the Beijing-Guangzhou line Xuchang-Xiaoshangqiao section was identified as a large-speed test section because of the flat terrain, where the train speed was increased from 160 km/h to 250 km/h, creating the "first speed" of China's existing railway lines.

Lu Weijun, then deputy director of the Xuchang workshop, served as the leader of the commando team, and within 3 months, he and more than 80 other commandos completed the installation and commissioning of more than 230 cables, 20 sets of turnouts, 25 signals, and 33,000 wiring terminals for 80 kilometers, and at the same time replaced the S700K electric switch machine with a ZYJ7 electro-hydraulic switch machine with greater traction and more stable performance. For the road guards and party commandos, this is a difficult task they have never encountered.

During the construction period, in the cold winter season, the road guards and commandos overcame many difficulties such as not eating on time, sleeping on time, and the construction shaft turning, and completed various construction tasks 10 days ahead of schedule, making positive contributions to the sixth large-scale speed increase of the "4·18" railway in 2007. The outstanding performance allowed Lu Weijun to win the national railway "locomotive medal".

In the past 17 years, Lu Weijun has experienced many positions, and the place of work is constantly changing, and now he has returned to the place where he first joined the work - Xuchang. The Xuchang workshop is not only the place where his dream began, but also the place where he once had a highlight moment. Approaching retirement age, what he wants to do most is to do a good job of inheritance, and many of his apprentices have become technical experts, and some have been rated as the "annual model of Xingyao Home" of the group company.

"Over the past 17 years, China's railways have achieved rapid development, and the scale, quality and modernization of the railway network are among the world's leading countries, and I am very proud to be able to participate in it." Lu Weijun said.
