On October 6th and 7th, the National Day Golden Week came to an end, and the railway holiday transportation ushered in the return peak. According to forecasts, on the 6th and 7th, the total daily passenger flow of Beijing's seven major railway stations will exceed 700,000. In order to allow passengers returning to Beijing to leave the station smoothly and reduce the waiting time in line, the Municipal Key Station District Management Committee has implemented the "one station, one policy" service, and refined measures in terms of capacity, transportation, safety and service, and made every effort to ensure the service guarantee for the "second half" of the National Day holiday.

On October 6th and 7th, Beijing West Railway Station, Beijing South Railway Station and Beijing Fengtai Station opened emergency shuttle buses.

Beijing South Railway Station is the busiest high-speed rail station in Beijing, with an estimated 238,000 passengers arriving at the peak of the return journey yesterday. In order to ensure the passenger connection service, the Municipal Key Station District Management Committee, the Municipal Transportation Commission, and the Beijing Bureau Group of the National Railway share passenger flow information in real time, and formulate enhanced safeguard measures in advance to allow passengers to arrive and leave smoothly.

At the same time, the airport bus pick-up point will be relocated to the South Plaza, which is convenient for passengers to arrive and depart quickly.

During the peak period of passenger flow in the Beijing Railway Station area, the Beijing Railway Station Monitoring, Analysis and Dispatching Support System is used to release information on the demand for taxi capacity at Beijing Railway Station to taxi drivers around 5 kilometers to supplement the capacity gap in a timely manner. A reporter from Beijing Youth Daily learned that the temporary taxi dispatching station at Chaoyang Station in Beijing during the National Day was effective, which could divert half of the taxis, and the waiting time of passengers was relatively shortened. In addition, on the basis of the original shuttle bus, Chaoyang Station has further refined the needs of passengers, for example, the holiday special line No. 4 is one stop directly to Qingnian Road Station of Metro Line 6, and the special line No. 10 can go to Dabeiyao East to transfer to Line 1 and Line 10. During peak traffic periods, each of the two special lines is equipped with 8 vehicles, and the drivers are on standby at any time, and they will leave when they are full. Yesterday afternoon, Ms. Shao, a passenger, had just returned to Beijing from Northeast China, and she said that as soon as she left the station, there were staff holding signs to introduce the various ferry routes, which was very convenient. She was just about to go to Metro Line 6 and went directly to the special line 4.

On October 6, the national railway ushered in the peak of return passenger flow, which is expected to send 18.73 million passengers, and plans to add 1,432 passenger trains. On October 5, the national railway sent 17.881 million passengers. Since the launch of railway Golden Week transportation, the daily railway passenger volume has exceeded 17 million for 6 consecutive days, and the transportation is safe, stable and orderly.
