On October 8, the head of the 9th sub-bureau of the Bangkok Metropolitan Police in Thailand, Ba Song, ordered his subordinate police to go to the dormitory area of a factory in Chachoengsao Province to arrest Adisa, a 25-year-old man, and accuse him of conspiracy to commit fraud.
As for this action, it is because some victims went to report the case for help, saying that they were accosted by an account on a well-known social platform, and the other party disguised himself as a young beauty through text and photo information, and opened a video naked chat under the temptation, and recorded the video for threats and blackmail. In the end, the victim was forced to make multiple transfers out of fear, with a total loss of more than 300,000 baht.
After receiving the report, the police immediately began to investigate and learned that the account was behind the above-mentioned 25-year-old LGBTQA+ man Adisa, so they further collected evidence and applied to the court for an arrest warrant. After being arrested, the man not only denied it but also tried to destroy the evidence, but further investigation by the police found that he had accounts on multiple social platforms, and more than 100 men were deceived, and the content of the chat was also to tempt the other party to open a video nude chat.
Later, the man confessed that the second-hand mobile phone he bought contained a photo of the original owner, and because he had a habit of viewing the lower body of men, he used it to lure men. In this regard, the police reminded social media users to be aware of potential threats in the online world and have now taken the man to the Bang Yai Police Station for further legal action.
