Recently, Ms. Liu, a citizen of Wuhan, suffered an accident. The bag of money she retrieved from the bank was inadvertently thrown away as garbage. Ms. Liu wrapped 5,000 yuan in cash in a plastic bag when she withdrew the money, and when she returned home, she made a mistake and threw away the plastic bag containing the cash. When she remembered the incident and went to the trash can to look for it, she found that the trash can had already been cleaned.
Zhou Xinghao, a police officer from the Xincun Street Police Station of the Jiang'an District Bureau of the Wuhan Municipal Public Security Bureau, introduced that the garbage cans are in the blind spot of monitoring, and the surrounding area is an urban village. The police reviewed more than ten hours of video footage from multiple public video probes and found that a middle-aged woman in a long skirt may have picked up the cash thrown away by Ms. Liu. Auxiliary police officer Sun Qilin said: "After this middle-aged woman rummaged in the previous trash can, she walked straight out of the blind spot of the video. The bag was noticeably heavier when I left, and it was noticeably faster. We judged that the middle-aged woman had probably picked up the money. ”
By tracing the woman's whereabouts, the police quickly determined that she was a resident of a nearby community. Subsequently, the police came to her home to inquire about the situation. After persuasion, the woman admitted that she had picked up 5,000 yuan in cash and returned the cash to the owner, Ms. Liu. The police reminded that red envelopes, gold and silver jewelry and other valuables packed with cash at home must be properly stored to avoid property losses caused by mistakes.
