Refuse Campus Bullying and Build a Safe Campus - Yangtze River School in Nanxi District, Yibin City carried out an educational activity on the theme of "Child Health Project Safety Classroom - School Bullying Prevention".
In recent years, school bullying incidents have occurred from time to time, causing great harm to students' physical and mental health. In order to enhance students' legal awareness, improve students' self-protection ability, and prevent the occurrence of school bullying incidents, Beijing Yuanmeng Public Welfare Foundation and Tongxin Social Work Service Center of Nanxi District, Yibin City, carried out an educational activity with the theme of "Children's Health Safety Classroom - Preventing School Bullying" in Class 6 of the third grade of Yangtze River School in Nanxi District, Yibin City on the afternoon of October 9, 2024.
The lecturer first clarified the definition of school bullying and listed the common types of school bullying, including physical bullying, verbal bullying, social bullying, cyberbullying, etc. Through specific cases, the lecturer analyzed the characteristics and harms of these bullying behaviors in simple terms. It also elaborated on the far-reaching impact of school bullying on students' physical and mental health, including psychological trauma, declining academic performance, and social barriers. At the same time, it also emphasizes the destructive effect of school bullying on the class and school atmosphere.
In view of how to prevent school bullying, the lecturer put forward several suggestions: 1. Strengthen education on laws and regulations to improve students' legal awareness; 2. Cultivate students' self-protection ability and learn to use legal weapons to protect themselves; 3. Strengthen mental health education to help students establish a healthy mentality and interpersonal relationships; 4. Establish and improve school management systems to strengthen the prevention and management of school bullying.
The lecture also gave specific guidance on how to deal with school bullying, including reporting it in a timely manner, asking for help, and staying calm. At the same time, students are also encouraged to care for and support each other to create a harmonious and safe campus environment.
Through this lecture, the children deeply realized the harmfulness of school bullying and enhanced their legal awareness and self-protection ability. The students have expressed that they will take active action to resist school bullying and contribute to creating a harmonious and safe campus environment.
